merry ChristmasChristmas at the farm comes alive in our newest collection, Farmhouse Christmas. Pour a glass of hot cocoa and cozy up as you flip through the pages of our holiday look book. A combination of holiday decor, gift giving and crafting ideas that we hope will inspire you as you begin creating for this holiday season.

Along with beautiful 12”x12” holiday-inspired papers, you will find a selection of new items in reds and greens that are ready to be crafted upon. One area we paid extra attention to this year was Christmas decor accents like tree skirts, pillows and stockings. Don’t get too caught up in just creating items for the home, as the line is perfect for creating this year’s Christmas Cards, holiday invites or gifts of food for everyone on your list.

This look book will introduce you to a few fun ideas, but don’t forget to take a look at our Farmhouse Christmas and DIY Christmas Pinboards for ideas, inspiration and how to’s.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season,The Canvas Corp Team

merry Christmas

To create 25 tags, we came up with 25 fun little

holiday tasks - from decorating the tree and

baking cookies to putting out Santa’s milk and

cookies and wrapping the gifts. You choose the

theme - ask a question for the family about the

holidays: What is the best gift you have ever

received? Or, what is your favorite holiday

tradition? Or, what is your favorite holiday

song? We typed them in Word and printed on

Ivory Cardstock and cut them to fit onto our

Tall Tags. There are so many fun fonts that

come with Word, choose your favorite and hit

‘print’.

‘tis the season

farmhouse advent calendar

We are always looking for new ways to create an advent calendar. This rustic design features 2 “back” burlap pockets and hooks, perfect for holding 25 little tags -each with a holiday task- as we make our way to Christmas.

For pockets, use our Burlap or Canvas Pocket

Shapes or create your own. Cut two pieces of

burlap and 2 slightly larger pieces of cardstock

and glue or stitch them together, leaving the

top open to create your pocket. Glue onto your

surface and they are ready to be filled.

This versatile advent

calendar is fun and easy

to make and we think our

Farmhouse Christmas

Papers add just the right

touch. Our surface is

our 12”x12” Red Chunky

Burlap Stretched.

Gifting a homemade card is one of the simplest, yet most thoughtful actions during the holiday season. Our papers were designed to let your creativity run wild as you make this year’s holiday cards.

Thinking outside of the box, we are adding a file folder card that is longing to hold the gift of photos this holiday season.

All papers are printed on ivory or kraft papers with black ink. A touch of color in just the right places makes them really special. Our Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist, Simply Sheer and Glimmer Glaze offer great color choices to further personalize your cards.

card making

Mixed Media is all the rage.

So why not create mixed media

Christmas Cards this year by

adding tags, textured paper,

burlap, a little paint and some

stitches to create this fun ‘Happy

Holidays’ card? You choose the

paint colors, allowing you to

create a one-of-a-kind card.

We recommend using 80# or

heavier cardstock when creating

your base card, so it is ready to

receive all that great color.

Tattered Angels Mistable

Papers offer a wide range of

unique, heavy-duty papers that

each react beautifully different

when they are misted.

Experiment and choose the one

that is perfect for your design.

Add accents of ivory & red and

ivory & green papers to your holiday

cards, along with a bit of burlap -

we fringed the edge for a scarf fringe

look. Burlap available in holiday

colors of red, green and ivory.

3 different styles in one pack (2 each) make up

the Farmhouse Christmas 4”x6” file folders,

which are perfect for giving the gift of photos.

They also hold holiday recipe cards, vintage post

cards and fit into our 7gypsies Vintage Photo

Crates when it is time to print and organize this

year’s holiday photos. Promise you won’t just

leave them on your phone or computer this year.

Try something a little different

this holiday season with a tall

and skinny Christmas card that

is sure to stand out. Cut 8” wide

x 9” tall and they fit right into

our #10 envelopes. Add this

watercolor look with Glimmer

Mist and a paint brush.

Unique gift-wrapping ideas are so popular these days and

we are excited to bring a range of new bags that are ready to

be decorated, filled and gifted to everyone on your list. We

love the trend of creating gift wrap that coordinates and has

a handmade look and also fits right in with your holiday

decor. Fill these burlap bags with handmade gifts, home-

made goodies or something special that needs just the right

wrap. Add one of our new tags to each gift. The packages

now come with 10 of the same tag so you can choose your

favorite and create your “tag” of the year for all gifts.

Don’t start your holiday wrapping too late this year. These

are great pieces to put under the tree for the entire season.

The Farmhouse Christmas Fabric

Panel takes center stage in this

burlap treeskirt. We painted plaid

onto panels of canvas with Tattered

Angels High Impact colors and

added hints of red to the printed

fabric. Next, we scalloped the edges

by gathering the hem. To finish it

off, a layered border of natural and

black canvas fringe and hand-

painted red plaid strips. Festive,

red canvas flowers make it so pretty,

you’ll hate to cover with packages.

farmhouse gifts

This year our focus is on a rustic look - the theme for many homes this season. We love mixing paper, burlap and canvas together -sometimes with a little glue and sometimes sewn - to create gifts and decorations.

homemade ornaments

We love to find unique ways to display our wares and this metal display

stand we found at a local flea market was the perfect choice to show off

these great handmade ornaments. To create your own metal tree, start

with a large tin food can, fill it with sand or redi-mix and add tangled

wire to form your tree. Fold up the ends to hold your ornaments.

Ruffle pieces of plaid fabric or paint your own

plaid with Tattered Angles High Impact Paints,

perfect for painting on fabric. Stitch on a design

from our Farmhouse Christmas Fabric Panel.

Cut, punch, glue,

string, gather and

sew to create these

cute, handmade

ornaments. These

are also great when

added to your gifts,

hung on the tree or

to fill your little

metal tree creation

Our holiday papers mix and match with our kraft and black; green & ivory; and red & ivory papers and look great when added to our flutes, handmade papers and then accented with our ropes and cords, buttons, burlap and other fun details. What a great way to use up bits and pieces of fabric, paper, trims and buttons from other holiday projects.

Page 8: Farmhouse Christmas

Create it by folding over our Canvas Banner,

adding 3 buttons to 3 strips of canvas for the

tabs. Add a piece of Green Burlap, a strip of

Red Burlap and stencil or stamp your holiday

message. Add holiday decor in unexpected

places, both inside and out - over a window or

door, the wood pile, a painted, old red chair

or a wheel barrel waiting for spring.

better not pout banner This simple little banner heralds an important message for the holidays and deserves a special spot in your home.

jingle & joy pillow

This no-sew pillow is the perfect gift, but so cute you are going to want to keep it for yourself. Start our 18”x18” burlap pillow

and two strips of burlap with the stamped or stenciled message ‘joy’ & ‘jingle’. Glue into place with Beacon’s 3-in-1 glue and add

a button detail. A circle was cut from our Farmhouse Christmas Fabric Panel and painted with Tattered Angels Chalkboard

Paints and glued where the fabrics meet. Use Glimmer Glaze to paint stitching.
