Administered Medications

(FAM’s)

1. User must order medication under “Meds and Orders”, make sure the “During visit” box is selected.

2.User must fill in mandatory information as dose, route and select mixture (for this example) click accept

3. User must associate order with correct diagnosis

4. The schedule will show a “meds due” icon by the patients name, user must double click on this icon.

5. Another way to document the medication is directly from the MAR tab in the encounter.

6. User must perform the five rights and administer the medication to the patient. A medication charge will automatically be applied after the administration is documented. To document the administration, click the “Due date/time” administration box (blue) in the Upcoming Administrations column of the MAR.

7. User must document the action, administration date/time, NDC code on the MAR. If any additional documentation as how patient tolerated the medication or an adverse event, document under “Comment” User must click accept to finish documentation

Charge Capture9. Once the medication administration has been documented, the procedure of the injection must be charge captured. Click on Charge Capture Then Injections and select the appropriate injection procedure

Charges will display as bellow , user can click on “Accept charges” or just click on “Close”
