Combine as listed and shape into 2" balls 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes. Transfer at once from baking sheets to paper toweling to cool. These freeze well either before or after baked.

Famous Amos Muffins

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour1/4 cup sugar1/4 cup brown sugar3 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)1/2 cup chocolate chips1 egg3/4 cup skim milk1/4 cup canola oil

Preparation:

Heat oven to 400 F. Spray muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and chocolate chips; mix well.

In small bowl, beat egg. Stir in milk and oil.

Add to flour mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. (Batter will be lumpy.) Divide batter evenly into sprayed muffin pan, filling cups 3/4 full.

Beat softened butter, brown and white sugars, vanilla, water and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer until creamy and thoroughly blended. By hand, stir in flour, baking soda and salt until well mixed. Stir in pecans and chocolate pieces. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Allow 1 to 1-1/2" between cookies for spreading. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until cookies are nicely browned, depending on how crisp or well done you like them. Yields 8 dozen.
