Then& Now Traditionally families adhere to a patriarchal ideology (Men is the Head) But now it has changed / is changing

However the gender role are same as traditional ones

The structure was in the considered to be strong, stable, close, resilient, and enduring

But now it has changed / is changing

A joint family (the preferred family type in the Indian culture) had three to four living generations, including uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and grandparents living together in the same household, members eat the food cooked at one hearth, share a common income, common property, were & are still related to one another through kinship ties, and worship the same idols
