Please contact your pharmacy directly to requestrefills at least three business days beforeyou run out of medication. Your pharmacy willcontact our office for approval. Within threebusiness days, you will receive your refill or anexplanation of why we are unable to refill themedicine. Alternatively, you can email your refillrequest to fmrwjmg@rwjms.rutgers.edu.

Your test results will be available from our officewithin two weeks of the date the test wasperformed. You can access your results througha secure health connection website calledRWJMedConnect (you can log in athttps://rwjmedconnect.gehealthcare.com), oryou can ask your family doctor to send your results by mail. You will be called directly by yourdoctor or team nurse with any urgent findings.

If you have not received your results after 15days, please call and leave a message for yourteam nurse. We hold your confidentiality in thehighest regard and will only discuss your resultswith you or someone you have designated.

It’s important for us to know your entire medicalhistory and other physicians who are caring foryou, so that we can coordinate your care to besure there are no unnecessary repeats of testsor interactions among your medications.

We follow U.S. Preventive Health Servicesguidelines for preventive health and use evidence-based care in helping you toward betterhealth. We offer a range of self-managementteaching right here in our office, including diabetic blood sugar testing and insulin injectioninstruction.

While we provide most of what patients needwithin our office, please let us coordinate yourcare if you need to see a specialist by discussingthe problem with your primary care physician. If needed, consultations are available with ourspecialty colleagues here at Rutgers RobertWood Johnson Medical Group, who share ourelectronic health record and will have all yourhealth information at their fingertips.

Please request all non-emergency referrals atleast seven days in advance of your appointmentwith other services; unless it is an emergency,we are unable to accommodate walk-in requests for referrals or to fax referrals. Post-dated referral requests will not be processed.

Please bring your insurance card to each visitand present it to the receptionist. Whenthere has been a change in your personaland/or insurance information, please help bynotifying us immediately of the changes.

24/7Physician AccessBecause minor illnesses andmedical issues don’t keep regular office hours, we have a doctor on call after our office is closed—even on theweekends. Our physicians canhelp you get the care youneed, when you need it.
