Skin needling procedures must be performed in a safe and precise manner with the use of sterile needle heads or derma-roller devices.

Side E�ects:

After Micro‐needling, the skin will be red and flushed in appearance in a similar way to moderate sunburn. Clients may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on and around the treatment area. This will diminish greatly after a few hours following treatments and within the next 24 hours skin will be completely healed. After 72 hours most visible erythema will be absolved.

Preparation:

1. Set up facial room with products, equipment and supplies needed2. Preheat steamer3. Greet client and explain facial procedure4. Invite client to remove upper body clothing and relax on the facial table5. The client should remove all jewelry and have them place all pieces in a pocket or purse6. Step out of the room while the client undresses7. Return to room, making sure client is comfortable8. Place wedge under knees9. Secure hair with hair band or for long hair, use a towel

Contraindications:

• Keloid scars• History of eczema• Psoriasis and other chronic conditions• History of actinic (solar) keratosis• History of Herpes Simplex infections• History of diabetes; presence of raised moles, warts on targeted area

Absolute Contraindications Include:

• Scleroderma, collagen vascular diseases or cardiac abnormalities• Blood clotting problems, active bacterial or fungal infection, immuno‐suppression• Not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing

Precautions:

• Discontinuing Auto‐Immune therapies, Retin‐A 24 hours before micro-needling treatment• Not to treat active acne, rosacea or other inflammatory conditions• Not to treat open wounds• Patients with facial outbreaks such as herpes, medication must be taken 48 hours after

treatment• Micro‐needling treatments not to be administered for 6 months after Accutane regimen

Exfoliate:

1. Apply steam. 2. Apply 1 tablespoon ExPürtise Enzyme Peel to face and neck. Do not massage jojoba beads at this point. Enzymes will loosen skin’s outermost layers after peel has set. You may find it easier to apply peel with a fan brush. Recommended time to set is 10 minutes. 3. After 10 minutes, massage face for 1-2 minutes allowing the jojoba beads to manually exfoliate skin.4. Remove peel with a warm steamed towel.

** ExPürtise Tips ** Peel can be applied with a fan brush for those with sensitive skin or rosacea skin types. Additionally, the massage step can be skipped. The warm steamed towel will melt the jojoba beads thus avoiding manual exfoliation.

Micro‐Needling Treatment:

1. Apply lubricating topical to treatment area.2. Begin treatment by simultaneously making contact with the skin and gliding in a horizontal direction at a rate of 1 inch per second. Continue until a single pass has been made across the entire treatment area.3. Observe the effect on the skin and adjust needle depth accordingly.4. Repeat process with a vertical pass across the treatment area. An optional 3rd pass can be made diagonally to achieve the maximum recommended coverage.

Treat, Moisturize / Protect:

1. Massage (1 pump) ExPürtise Effective Anti-Aging Face Serum into face.2. Apply (1/2 pump) ExPürtise Effective Anti-Aging Eye Serum divided between each eye and gently tap product

around eye area.3. Apply (1 and ½ pump) ExPürtise Effective Anti-Aging Face Treatment into face, neck and décolleté. Mention

again how ExPürtise only uses natural extracts in their products, no synthetic fragrances.

** ExPürtise Tips ** Avoid sweaty exercise and sun exposure during first 12 hours after treatment.
