STEP 1 Creating Your Facebook Page

If you don't already have a Facebook page, it’s not difficult to set one up. It should take you no more than 10 minutes or so to create one. It will take a bit longer to choose a profile and cover image plus post some content but all in total, you can have your Facebook page up and ready for business within a couple of hours.

STEP 2 Getting Likes (Fans) For Your FB Page

You need to get targeted people to like your page and become fans. Whether you feel that you already have an adequate amount of likes (fans) or you are just getting started with your FB page, you should be adding new FB fans on a continual basis. There are many different ways to accomplish getting targeted likes (fans) on a steady basis. The best way to jump start things as well as add targeted fans on demand from time to time is via paid Facebook ads. You can get nearly instantaneous results with Facebook ads that will cost you next to nothing in the big picture.

Keeping Your FB Page Fans Engaged

Once you have a good number of likes (fans), it’s important to keep them engaged. You do that by posting to your page often (3-5 times per day). Do NOT only post commercial or promotional items for your business, you’ll kill your page very fast doing that. Instead, your posts should consist of interesting, funny, educational and informative material with occasional promotions for your business mixed in.

Your posts do not always need to be related to your business, not by a long shot. You could simple entertain your fans with multiple topics and when they’re ready to take advantage of what your services have to offer, you will likely be the first one they come to. One of the best ways to not only keep your fans engaged but also act on your promotional posts, is to offer them something for free or at a big discount. They will not only act on those types of posts far more often, they will also be more apt to share it with others.

The Viral Effect – Your Fans Are Your Sales Team

This is where things start to get real interesting and exciting. Once you have a good base of likes (fans) on your FB page, you want to entice or incentivize them to share your posts in their FB Newsfeed for all of their friends to see. This is what can really extend your marketing reach as your posts go viral, effectively turning your FB fans into your sales team that work to grow your FB page organically and at zero cost.
