Public opinion is largely unaware of the grave implications of these war plans,

which contemplate the use of nuclear weapons, ironically in retaliation to Iran's

non-existent nuclear weapons program. Moreover, 21st Century militarytechnology combines an array of sophisticated weapons systems whose destructive

power would overshadow the nuclear holocausts of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Lest

we forget, the United States is the only country to have used nuclear weapons

against civilians.

Militarization at the global level is instrumented through the US militarys UnifiedCommand structure: the entire planet is divided up into geographic Combatant

Commands under the control of the Pentagon. According to former NATOCommander General Wesley Clark, the Pentagons military road-map consists of a

sequence of war theaters: [The] five-year campaign plan [includes]... a total of

seven countries, beginning with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia andSudan. Like a cancer, the US war unleashed in 2003 on Iraq is mutating into a

global disease.

While The New York Times and other mainstream media outlets hailed 15December 2011 as marking the official end of the nearly nine-year US war in

Iraq, in reality that devastated country will remain an American war theater for the

foreseeable future. Pentagon military advisers and contractors will continue toreside there and the people of Iraq will for generations be left with a legacy of US-imposed conflict and barbarity. The Pentagons shock and awe campaign in Iraq

may have subsided, but its repercussions and criminal precedents are still very

much extant, not only in Iraq but in the wider region and, increasingly, globally.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

The national sovereignty that once allowed us to create a free enterpriseeconomy along with political and religious freedom is being surrenderedby our modern political leaders. These leaders no longer believe in a

patriotic love of their nation, and have adopted a philosophy ofglobalism and the desire to become a world citizen.

At the same time, technological advancement in surveillanceequipment, such as the global spy system Project Echelon, is destroyingour privacy and is setting the stage for the totalitarian police statedescribed by the prophet John.

John wrote about the Mark of the Beast system in the last days in hisbook Revelation. The development of sophisticated new weaponssystems, including suitcase sized tactical nuclear weapons, biological,

and chemical weapons of mass destruction and computerizedinformation warfare can neutralize an enemy's economy andinfrastructure.

New weapons using electromagnetic forces for mind control enable us tounderstand how the kingdom of the Antichrist could quickly establishglobal domination.

Jesus Christ warned that the world would experience a tremendoushistorical crisis just before He returned to establish His Kingdom. Thiscrisis, He indicated, would bring about an unprecedented "great

tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time,no, nor ever shall be" (Matthew 24:21).

This "time of tribulations" is described in both Daniel 9:27 and the bookof Revelation as lasting a period of seven years. The prophets alsowarned that the most evil man in history would arise during this lastgeneration and would be satanically empowered to seize political,economic, military, and religious control of the entire world's population.

This man is identified by a number of names throughout the Scripturesincluding the "lawless one," "the man of sin," "the Wicked," and even

"the abomination of desolation." Yet he is best known by the name givento him by the prophet John in his second epistle --- the "Antichrist."

The book of Revelation promises a special blessing to anyone who readsand studies this prophecy. "Blessed is he who reads and those who hearthe words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written init; for the time is near" (Revelation 1:3).

Yet, there is no other book in the Bible that is studied less than thebook of Revelation. Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke of those who wouldignore the prophecies about His return. He said, "O fools, and slow ofheart to believe all that the prophets have spoken" (Luke 24:25). TheWord of God clearly commands believers to pay attention to the

prophetic portions of the Scriptures. The apostle Peter assures us that"We have a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that yetake heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the daydawn, and the day star arise in your hearts" (2 Peter 1:19)The message of prophecy is vital to the Church in these last days forfour basic reasons. The first is that the accuracy of the propheticmessage absolutely proves the inspiration of the Scriptures andvalidates the message of Jesus Christ as the inspired Word of God.Secondly, the prophecies call upon Christians to live in holiness in animmoral world. Secondly, the New Testament tells us that the hope ofthe second coming of Christ reminds Christians to live in holiness while

awaiting His return, "And every man that hath this hope in him purifiethhimself, even as he is pure" (I John 3:3). In the same manner that Jesusurgently witnessed to His generation, because He knew that it wasrapidly coming to judgment with the destruction of Israel in 70 A.D., themessage of prophecy now indicates that our generation is rapidlyapproaching the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. As our Lord Himselfwarned, our time to witness to those around us is limited. In light of thesoon return of our Lord Jesus Christ we need to witness to ourgeneration while we have the opportunity.

The US drone program is the subject of an expos published in the

Washington Post on Wednesday, headlined Under Obama, an emergingglobal apparatus of drone killing. While restrained in its presentation,the Post article is a chilling account of a government that has assertedfor itself the right to kill anyone, anywhere in the world, without even apretense of legal proceedings. The lives of thousands of people havebeen wiped out in this manner.

The US drone program, according to the Post, involves dozens of secretfacilities, including two operational hubs on the East Coast, virtual AirForce cockpits in the Southwest and clandestine bases in six countrieson two continents.

A study by the Congressional Budget Office concluded that the US had775 Predator and other drone aircraft, plus an unknown numberoperated by the CIA as part of covert operations. Not including the warsin Iraq and Afghanistan, assassinations have been carried out in at leastthree countries. The recent downing of a drone over Iran, however,points to much broader operations.

One of Obamas first actions as president was to order a Predator droneattack on Pakistan. Since then, nearly 240 attacks have been carried outagainst the country, killing thousands, mostly civilians. Some 15 strikeshave been launched against Yemen, and several others in Somalia.

The actions of the Obama administration, and the vast growth in thesecret powers of the CIA and the military, go far beyond these pastcrimes.

Extra-judicial state-sanctioned killing is a metastasis of the global waron terror, an escalation of international criminality that has includedthe launching of aggressive wars, indefinite detention, and torture. Ithas become a central component of US military policy, including the warin Libya, which was concluded with the US-backed assassination ofMuammar Gaddafi. Obama has singled out the extra-legal killing ofOsama bin Laden as a high point and defining moment of his

administration.

Unbridled violence and the suppression of democracy are two sides ofthe same process. The revelations by the Post come less than two weeksafter the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, which forthe first time provides an explicit congressional imprimatur [anauthorization allowing a book or other work to be published, now usuallyconfined to works sanctioned by the Roman Catholic Church] on theindefinite military detention of US citizens and non-citizens alike, at thediscretion of the president. The act effectively abolishes the writ ofhabeaus corpus and basic constitutional guarantees of due process.

The coming prince of Daniel 9:26, the antichrist, kicks off the Tribulation Period andstarts the clock running -- with an event as historically definite as was ArtexerxesDecree. According to Daniel 9:27, the antichrist confirms a covenant between Israeland her enemies. This covenant, or treaty, is confirmed as an agreement of seven

years duration. [Not coincidentally, the exact length of the Tribulation Period Daniels 70th Week].

The Book of Daniel says that from the signing of that treaty until it is broken by theantichrist is three and one-half years [time, times and a half (Dan 12:7)]. To furtherconfirm it, from the breaking of that treaty at the midpoint until the return of Christ isprecisely 1260 days three and one-half years.

We have already seen the precision with which God counted down sixty-nine weeks ofyears. One week remains. There is no reason to think God has fired His accountant.

So, logically, anyone familiar with the Scriptures who observes the breaking of the

treaty with Israel by antichrist could know exactly, to the day, when Jesus was toreturn.

But wait! What about what Jesus Himself said of His coming? He said, But of that dayand hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only[Matthew 24:36].

Clearly, He could not have been speaking of the same event that could be so easilycalculated. Is this a contradiction?

According to 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4, there is a secret return of Christ, the one ofwhich Jesus spoke.

Paul writes, For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are aliveand remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent [precede] them which areasleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice ofthe archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then

we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, tomeet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

This secret Advent, in which the Lord comes for His Church in the air, is not the sameevent as the one in which He puts His foot upon the Mount of Olives, splitting it in two[Zechariah 14:4] Pauls description of the Lords coming has Him coming in the air,not touching down to earth.

Paul is referring to what is commonly called the Rapture of the Church. Since thissecret Advents timing cannot, according to Jesus, be calculated, it cannot be the sameevent as the Second Coming. That Triumphant Return can be calculated precisely oneminute after the antichrist signs the 7-year treaty.

Since the Tribulation Period is the time of Jacobs Trouble Daniels 70th Week, it isa time reserved for Israel, not the Church. Remember, it is to make reconciliation forsin and to bring in everlasting righteousness.

For the Church during the Church Age, those goals were already accomplished at theCross.

But the Tribulation Period is the final week of the Age of the Law. The Temple will bein full operation and the Mosaic Law in full force. The Church Age is concluded withthe antichrists treaty.

Given the current situation in the Middle East, some kind of confirmation of a sevenyear agreement [like Oslo] is an absolute necessity, either to prevent all out war or atthe conclusion of any such war.

Bible prophecy says it will happen. The Bible also says it begins a time of judgmentagainst Israel and the Gentile world. The Church was already judged at the Cross.

Heres what it all means, boiled down into a single sentence. At some point before that

treaty is signed, Jesus Christ will descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice ofan archangel, and all those living who placed their faith in Christ will be snatchedaway, to be forever with Christ.

That treaty could happen at almost any moment. And that means the Rapture of theChurch is even closer.
