Explain To Me What is Compassion?

What's compassion? Compassion to me, asking for nothing back in return, giving them a bit of yourheart, and is showing love and kindness toward others. I'm blessed to spread compassion to peoplewho mightn't receive it otherwise, and to work with clients and their families regular, or often.

I recently had the chance to visit with a customer who was in Boca Raton, Florida who wasrecovering from a busted hip in a rehabilitation center. I went to visit her to check to see how shewas feeling, and I likewise wanted to be sure that she understood that I had been thinking of her.

as soon as I walked in the area, her eyes lit up and she said, "What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you because I care about you, and I wish to see how you are feeling." I responded.

We spoke for over one hour about her thoughts on her treatment, the facility's food, for once shereturned home and her plans. As I was leaving, she gave me a huge hug and said, "I am so glad youcame to see me!"

It made me feel really good that I could reveal her love and kindness. It made a huge impact alongwith her, although stopping by to visit was such a little act from me.

We consider that empathy makes all of the difference. You can find various ways to show empathyplus they're able to be as simple as calling to check on someone who we understand is sick, or byvisiting with him or her if they are in the hospital. Revealing empathy may also not be as difficult astaking time to really listen to others. We get so trapped in trying to "fix" everything, when oftentimes, people only want someone to listen to them, understand that they're heard, and that theirfeelings are validated.

I encourage you to be the definition of compassion and to show love and kindness toward everyoneyou meet.
