For my final product I will be creating a trio of images based on the theme of discovery of life and death, my images will all be created using multiple techniques such as photo manipulation on Photoshop and multi media. Because the topic of life and death can be difficult to understand for younger children I believe that my audience range would be aged 16+ so that the messages in my images can be understood clearly.

My first piece i am wanting to bring across the other reaction and the influence of death and life and how it may effect peoples lives. In my first photograph I am wanting to bring across the most common influence of death which Is sadness, I will be expressing this by taking two head shots of my model of her expressing happiness sadness and once I have got the images that I am satisfied with I will begin to alter them on Photoshop. In Photoshop I will add black and white filter to the happiness image and also change the contrast and brightness levels of the picture, for the second image of sadness I would keep the image in the same colour tones but just alter the contrast and brightness levels to make the feature on my models face stand out. Once both of the image have completed the editing on the image I will crop both the images in half and join them both together so that they create one overall image. I will then print the images out and work on them with mix media (inks, acrylic paints), by using my mixed media I am wanting to build onto the features which will hopefully allow the features on my photographs stand out more.

For my second photograph I am wanting to create the opposite of my first photograph.I am wanting to bring across the other reaction that people may have by death which compared to my first image would be that death may not always be a bad thing for most people and how it may be life itself that makes them sad and upset. I will be doing this by using the same theme as my previous photograph by taking two photographs of my model expressing different emotions but this time while altering my images I am wanting to add the bright effect to the photo with the sad photo which will be representing death and the dark effects and filters on the happy images which will be

representing death. Once completing the editing process I will then again be working on the images using mixed media (inks,acrylics&pastels), during this process I will be trying to make the message of the photographs stand out more. My initial idea is to add dark shades with a contrast of light colours on the life side of the image to represent the darkness of life whilst adding bright shades on the death to represent the peacefulness and calmness that death can bring to a person.

My last image will be ambiguous photograph, in this photo I am wanting to capture a photo of two hand reaching to each other as if they are about to hold each other. After capturing a photo that I am satisfied with I am wanting to do slight alternations such as playing around with different filters and then build onto the image by using mixed media. My initial plans for this photo is to split the photo into halves by creating one side of the hand colourful and one dark by using some kind of mixed media. By doing this I am going to allow my audience to use their own opinion on the image as the photo reflects both messages in the previous pictures so it could either be death trying to hold onto life or the common option of death wanting to hold onto life.
