Original ideas in Art from Andy Povey

Andy’s lifetime by the sea has provided the inspiration for his distinctive and mesmerising coastal works of art. Andy creates wonderful wooden wall pieces from recycled, washed up and

reclaimed material by painting fantastic seaside themed sentences on them using a mixture of spray and paint brush frequently integrating well known logo designs and iconic coastal images into the artwork.

A great sense of fun and nostalgia exudes from his pieces, each possessing a sculptural twist with a ‘hint of a seaside book cover.’ For Andy, this means sun bleached colours coupled with driftwood and words or images that sum up the English seaside.

Exclusively through Strawberry Leisure, you can now have your names and event date designed into your very own piece on a Lola, Lulu or Lily campervan theme. Original ideas in Sculpture from Cassie Lawrence

Cassie, the sculptor, creates bespoke caricatures for weddings and special occasions, all lovingly handcrafted from your personal photographs.

Highly detailed sculptures are created to look like the bride and groom in their wedding attire, the birthday boy or girl in their favourite outfit with campervans Lola, Lulu or Lily. Props, costumes or uniforms can be added to further help capture the individual’s personality.

No Moulds or pre-made bodies are used – every commission is bespoke and made to order to your exact details. All sculptures are made from non-toxic clay which is safe to put on cakes and will keep as an enduring reminder of the special day. After hours of sculpting, each figure is painstakingly hand painted and little touches are added, such as facial hair or lip gloss. Finer detail can also be added, even down to the colour of the bride’s nail polish, ensuring your mini figures look exactly how you do on your big day, posing with one of Strawberry Leisure’s wonderful campervans.

Operating from my small workshop in Cornwall, every piece turned on the lathe is individually hand crafted and a one off which gives great originality. Most of my timber is sourced locally but

special commissions with exotic timbers are available if required. If you are looking for a custom handcrafted item

that will be a keepsake and a valued item for years to come, you will not be disappointed. Whether it is a pen set, atomiser, compact or platter etc, you can be assured that each item is unique and of outstanding quality.

Original ideas in Glass from Rosalyn Drake

Having always had a love and appreciation of stained glass, it’s been a privilege to attain these skills in order to create my own distinctive glass art. For nearly a decade I’ve been developing

methods and honing ideas around the ‘Tiffany Technique’ whereby glass pieces are cut and ground into shape, raw edges wrapped in copper foil and then soldered.

Each item is lovingly crafted by hand to order whether it’s a small or large commission, exclusively personalised and themed to reflect the uniqueness of your special day with Strawberry Leisure’s iconic campervans.

I look forward to creating a special and unique piece of glass art that will serve as a decorative and lasting reminder of a momentous day in your life.

Lola, Lulu and Lily VW campervan exclusively themed, pottery designs including favours, table centres and replica table lamps, all made and painted by hand to a very high standard and made to order.

I have been designing and producing similar products for well over 7 years from my small pottery here in Cornwall and can cater for a broad range of needs from a one-off special

commission to a complete range or package.

All designs can be painted with a stripe to co-ordinate with your wedding colour scheme and personalised with the name of the bride and groom, complete with wedding date. The names of bridesmaids, ushers, best man etc. can also be individually added to make wonderful and enduring ‘Thank You’ gifts. The wedding favours can also double up and be used as place name settings, each printed with your guest’s name.

I run a one-woman traditional signwriting company based in deepest South Cornwall using original techniques and methods almost forgotten in the digital era. Fortunately though, they are starting

to make a comeback as a properly prepared and painted sign produces a rich depth and warmth so often missing in modern times and can last for years in all weathers.

I love to let my imagination run wild in the creation of my signs- the kitsch and vintage offer endless inspiration. It was this that led me into making wedding signs, and I was delighted to be asked to design these for Strawberry Leisure, as their beautiful vintage vans are a lovely thing to paint!

How about a pretty, vintage-style scroll with “Just Married” hand-painted or a heart sign that would make an ideal centrepiece and keepsake? I also have a range of chalkboard direction signs so that the guests don’t get lost!

Using hand brushed methods, old-fashioned oil-based primers and undercoats, let me create a special lasting retro sign commemorating your landmark day which can be personalised and incorporate the wonderful imagery of Strawberry Leisure’s appealing campervans; Lola, Lulu or Lily.

I moved to Cornwall many years ago and as a textile artist I love taking inspiration from the great Cornish countryside, sea, and especially enjoy creating art based on VW camper vans and associated

imagery. These include; cushions, quilts, bags, purses, textile art, textile cards and various other textile pieces.

All my designs are crafted by myself and are free hand machine stitched. Studying art and design for many years at college and university has led me to specialise in creating art with textiles. I enjoy the freedom of working with fabric, and drawing with the machine enables me to create one off designs, which I can personalise with names and dates featuring Strawberry Leisure’s lovely VW campervans, especially to suit your own occasion.
