Excellence Report DECEMBER 2017 CEO Report So, while in the midst of updating our Organizational Profile to re-start our Performance Excellence Journey and running the business through the use of quality tools, we also are looking at our current strengths and opportunities for improvement (OFI’s) to identify some priority areas to focus on this upcoming year. Since we don’t have a Baldrige-based feedback report yet to use as our primary source of this information, we are identifying strengths and OFI’s through customer, stakeholder, and employee/volunteer feedback and through observation (e.g., “this process seems to be taking longer than it should… why? And what can we do to improve this?”). Generally, the feedback, while reinforcing the value that QNM provides both to each organization that we serve and also to the state of New Mexico, suggests that we have improvement opportunities in two key areas: our Awards process (for example, the quality of the feedback report) and our approach to improving Partner benefits. For each of these two areas, we have instituted process improvement teams to better understand the issues, identify root cause, and implement specific solutions. Subsequent Newsletters and additional material will provide more specifics on what improvements we are making to our products/services, our partner relationships, and our operations through these process improvement efforts. We greatly appreciate the feedback that we have received as well as the support of all of the QNM volunteers and staff who are involved (and extremely engaged!) in these efforts. Jeffrey Weinrach, Chief Executive Officer From the President As part of our ongoing efforts to continuously improve Quality New Mexico, we are looking across our organization to identify ways to improve how we best meet the needs of our partners. We are in the process of enhancing partner benefits which include discounts for our products and services, participation in our networking events, recognition in our newsletters and other publications, and special rates for our Annual Learning Summit. In addition to those exciting changes, beginning in January 2018, we are transitioning our member dues from an anniversary renewal date to a fixed calendar year basis. This is a simpler, more convenient process for our members and aligns with the industry standard. Planning for our 2018 Annual Learning Summit is underway. Next year’s summit promises to be one of the best in the history of the organization and will provide you numerous opportunities to learn best practices from some of the nation’s finest organizations. Excellence Report DECEMBER 2017

CEO Report So, while in the midst of updating our Organizational Profile to re-start our Performance Excellence Journey and running the business through the use of quality tools, we also are looking at our current strengths and opportunities for improvement (OFI’s) to identify some priority

areas to focus on this upcoming year. Since we don’t have a Baldrige-based feedback report yet to use as our primary source of this information, we are identifying strengths and OFI’s through customer, stakeholder, and employee/volunteer feedback and through observation (e.g., “this process seems to be taking longer than it should…why?

Jeffrey Weinrach, Chief Executive Officer

From the PresidentAs part of our ongoing efforts to continuously improve Quality New Mexico, we are looking across our organization to identify ways to improve how we best meet the needs of our partners. We are in the process of enhancing partner benefits which include discounts for our products and services, participation in our networking events, recognition in our newsletters and other publications, and special

rates for our Annual Learning Summit.
