1. SUMMARY
A professional engineer and a mountain climber, Ravil Chamgoulov’s quest is to summit the
highest mountain on each of the world’s seven continents. To date, Ravil has successfully climbed
the highest peaks of six continents. Mt. Everest, the highest peak on Earth, is the final mountain for
Ravil to complete his quest to climb the Seven Summits.
Ravil is an elite high-altitude climber who was awarded the rare and prestigious mountaineering
designation of ‘Snow Leopard’. He made over 200 accents at 4,000-plus meter peaks, including all
7,000-plus meter peaks in the former Soviet Union. As a world class climber, Ravil Chamgoulov
exemplifies the core values of competence, responsibility and leadership on the mountains.
By providing a sponsorship to Ravil's quest, you will have a unique opportunity to promote your
company’s brand and goodwill. You will be able to follow Ravil’s progress from base camp to the
top of Everest and watch with pride as he plants your company’s flag on the top of the highest
mountain of the world. Other benefits for the sponsor are described in section 3.
Ravil is raising funds both to support his climbing of Mt. Everest through sponsorship (corporate
and individual) as well as for Mining for Miracles, the mining industry's charity for BC Children’s
Hospital. Charitable efforts promote a positive corporate image for sponsors among the business
community and general public.

2. THE CLIMBER
2.1 Brief Biography
Ravil Chamgoulov is a Project Manager at FLSmidth Knelson, a mining equipment manufacturer
located in Langley, British Columbia. He joined the company in 2008 and currently manages
complex projects for customers located throughout the world. Before joining FLSmidth Knelson
he worked with BC Cancer Research Centre on projects dedicated to the development of new
imaging devices.
He holds a M.Sc. in Electronics, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He has been granted a
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, as well as the Project Management Professional
(PMP)® designation.

Ravil is originally from Russia, where he worked as an Associate Professor at Moscow State
Technical University teaching Electrical Engineering. Ravil immigrated to Canada in 2000 and
became a Canadian Citizen in 2004.
Ravil is married to his wife Olga, who works as a technician at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.
His daughter and son are students at the University of BC. Ravil’s passion outside of work is
mountain climbing.

2.2 Climbing Background: Rare ‘Snow Leopard’ Designation
Ravil Chamgoulov
Summit of Vinson Massif, the highest peak of Antarctica
Ravil Chamgoulov is an elite high-altitude climber, who was awarded the rare and prestigious
mountaineering designation of ‘Snow Leopard’. To qualify for this honor and recognition, Ravil
successfully climbed all 7,000-meters peaks in the former Soviet Union. Ravil has made more
than 200 ascents at 4,000-plus meters peaks all around the world.
Being a certified mountaineering instructor, Ravil worked many of his summer vacations from
university as an instructor and a coach in mountaineering camps and expeditions. As a member
of the National Search & Rescue Team, he participated in many rescue events.
Ravil is actively involved in the local mountaineering community. As a member of the British
Columbia Mountaineering Club (BCMC), Ravil volunteers his time to organize and lead a number
of climbs in Canada and the USA.
BCMC is the oldest mountaineering club in Canada with
over 100 years of history. BCMC endorses Ravil's quest and
partially sponsors the Everest climb.

3. BENEFITS FOR SPONSORS
In order to complete the Everest climb funding, Ravil needs to raise a minimum of $ 20,000 for the
climb expenses.
EVEREST SUMMIT SPONSOR: In the event that one sponsor will offer to cover these costs, Ravil
will work with that sponsor to create a significant benefit package, including but not limited to:
Branding: What a branding opportunity! Use of Mt. Everest expedition pictures!
Your corporate flag planted on top of Mt. Everest by Ravil, and photographed for your
promotional use.
Acknowledgement of the sponsor company’s name/logo in all printed and internet
marketing, publicity materials, presentations and interviews about the climb.
Ravil will wear climbing gear clearly marked with your corporate logo for the entire ascent.
Opportunity for two company representatives to travel to Everest Base Camp with Ravil/or
to climb to Advanced Base Camp, or North Col of Mt. Everest at 23,000 feet/7,000 meters.
Opportunity to communicate to Ravil as he is making the climb, and to follow his progress
from base camp to the top of Everest and watch with pride as he plants your company’s flag
on the top of the highest mountain of the world. Just the thought of it is extraordinary!
Upon completion of the climb Ravil will visit your company and give a presentation for the
company employees/clients.
Ravil is open to accommodate the sponsor in other ways that may be of benefit to the
sponsor’s company.
In the event that several sponsors wish to support this incredible quest, Ravil will create benefit
and recognition packages which are suitable to the sponsor.

We anticipate a strong media interest in Ravil's final climb of the Seven Summits and affiliated
fundraising efforts.
Past climbs have garnered interviews shown on Global
and local TV stations, and newspaper and magazine
publications. With your company as Ravil's primary
sponsor, climbing Mt Everest, the highest mountain on
Earth, provides a unique opportunity to promote the
company's brand, values, and goodwill.

6. FUNDRAISING FOR CHARITIES
Ravil has climbed the highest peaks of six continents while raising money for the BC Cancer
Foundations in support of cancer research and care.
Mt. Everest climb is a great opportunity to raise funds for charities. In that regard Ravil is raising
money for Mining for Miracles, BC Mining’s charity for BC Children's Hospital. Mining for
Miracles was launched in 1988 to raise money for BC Children’s Hospital. Since 1988 Mining for
Miracles has raised over $21,9M and has made a tremendous, positive impact to the health &
welfare of children in BC.
