For Westfield London’s 5th Birthday, I worked alongside Fiona Leahy Design to create a secret pop up club in some of the disused store rooms in the deep dark depths of Westfield London.

My involvement spanned from demolishing walls to create an impromptu event space to producing a decadent gold fashion utopia complete with cocktail bars, laser show, gold dance floor and a live performance from Grace Jones.

As part of the 2012 Spring Summer Fashion Campaign, I worked to deliver a futuristic take on the concept of the fashion show.

Instead of a live catwalk, we shot a 5 minute fashion show in 3D to be shown at the event in a bespoke cinema created for the occasion.

Along with this were 5 huge interactive touch screens which allowed the public to develop their look book for the season.

Working alongside Heart Productions, I managed the installation and execution of the European premiere of Twilight: Breaking Dawn at Westfield Stratford City.

From 48 hours prior to the event opening, the site was overrun by screaming public of a challenging demographic chomping at the bit to catch a glimpse of the A-List cast and guests.

The carpet (white, on this occasion) was the longest I have ever seen, stretching over 300m, all of which needed lighting, filming, sound and the relevant infrastructure to support. The installation and event all needed to happen with minimum impact on the live retail environment in which it was held.

I was asked to create a spectacular event for the public to help celebrate the switching on of the Westfield Stratford City Christmas Lights with a performance by Rihanna for and audience of 10,000.

I provided complete technical and site management and design for the whole event from start to finish.

As well as a stunning stage, the event included large format projection either side of the stage and an epic pyrotechnic finale.

On top of this security, crowd control, staging, schedules, budgets, crewing, design and logistics all happened in 3 weeks..!

The idea is simple: a soundproof box in which a band perform and the audience listen via headphones. The execution of the project was somewhat more involved.

My involvement took this project from the early conceptual stage to the successful delivery of two 3 day events, each in a different venue. The entire process took over a year and a half which included 6 months of design, construction and testing of the cube itself.

I also had the opportunity to work closely with brand partner Sennheiser to seamlessly integrate their products into the event.

The end result was an unforgettably unique immersive experience for audience and artistes alike.
