Designed and built a low cost, highly efficient apparatus to measure the Seebeck coefficient of thin films. Developing my creative problem solving skills by overcoming new unexpected challenges through innovative and resourceful ideas. Processed SnxS thin films samples using a RF sputtering system and characterized their properties using a: profilometer and Four-Point Probe and hot-probe setup. Honed detail-oriented skills by efficiently maintaining and updating records, a clean work area, and studying diagrams/ schematics to understand machinery operations.
Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Summer 2015 Research Associate
Received a $5,000 US Dollars grant for completion Demonstrated to be proactive and honed my time management skills by planning an eight-week schedule and completing it in the allotted time. Evaluated the Seebeck Coefficient from several thin film samples.
