have compact installation dimensions and low weight, at the same time as the torque capacity is very high, thanks to the special friction coating.”Moreover, for both our customers and ourselves, a major advantage with ETP-HYCON is its seals, which prevent leakage and oil spills. As a result, the couplings don’t contribute any oil emissions and water pollutants while, at the same time, the maintenance is made simpler.”

CoNtiNuiNG CollABoRAtioNCRN was founded in Ancona, back in 1963, by the entrepreneur Sanzio Nicolini, operating under the name Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali. Since 1999, the Italian shipyard for luxury yachts has been a part of the Ferretti Group. The production and sales primarily consist of completely customised mega yachts, in steel and aluminium, in the size class 40 to 90 metres. The ”Chopi Chopi” is the 129th yacht to have been built at CRN to date.Ferdinando Pilli is looking forward to continuing the cooperation with Mondial and products from ETP Transmission AB. ”At the end of the day, it is always a question of quality versus price. ETP-HYCON have so far offered the absolutely highest quality at the most competitive price. This is also a condition for our future cooperation,” he notes.

ETP-HYCON can be installed quickly and easily using one external hydraulic pump. The hydraulics results in both easy assembly and disassembly. The hydro-mechanical couplings bring great torsional stiffness and are particularly suitable for high torque, high radial forces and large shafts.ETP-HYCON is manufactured in two different models for coupling shaft/shaft (Type S) and shaft/fl ange (Type F).ETP-HYCON can be type approved by most classifi cation societies - DNV, LR, GL, ABS, RINA etc. - for use in the propulsion driveline during shipbuilding. The coupling can also be ordered in stainless steel for especially exposed applications as well as customised for the actual application.
