    Welcome

I somehow managed to sign up for the Wrexham half marathon next March! Well when I say signed up I mean someone signed me up, but Im secretly pleased about it.

Thatll teach me to watch Jo Pavey at the Common wealth games run a fabulous 5k at the age of 41, having had a baby 10 months earlier, and make a bronze medal look easy! I used to run quite a lot, nothing competitive, but just used to put the old trainers on and run a few miles for pure enjoyment, but never timed myself or knew how fast I was going. Theres only a few names down for the marathon so far, so just a few mad people up for such a run in March; and anything could happen in March weather wise. Ive started running again and tried running 10k a few times. After a few goes Im back under 60 minutes, but if Im going to win the veterans ladies section in this Wrexham half marathon Im going to have to do it in under 1 hour 30 minutes in total, and thats double the distance Im running at the moment. So Ive got my work cut out indeed.

Anyway thats me. I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend, despite the weather, and now its back to work and back to school time. Its like ground hog day isnt it, how soon this comes around and the years tick by. Although not for Tricia, and she

knows who she is, who has just retired from teaching, and will be feeling the benefit just about now as everyone else returns to work and she can do as she likes. Im quite jealous. Enjoy your retirement Tricia!

In light of the wonderful memorial month of August for the war it is appropriate to mention the memorial benches in Bangor on dee, if you use them could you remember their special purpose and help look after them, and ensure our local children value them too and understand the difference. There has been recent signs of damage so please keep your eye on them as you pass through the village. Also if you know what happened to the coffin shaped union flag that has disappeared since the British Legion disbanded in Bangor on Dee please let me know.

And lastly a little message to Viv who writes the local history articles as Ive lost her number to say weve used all the articles up and I would welcome some more if she would like to continue, but perhaps she could ring me. Thanks for providing them Viv , weve all enjoyed them.

Enjoy September, I hope the sun returns and the return to work and school isnt too painful.

    All the best, Jill

Thats why, in a recent survey, 93% of members said they would recommend the Club to a friend!

Nervous people - Is that you? Many people are worried about switching! They think it will be disruptive, the new companys products wont be the same quality or their customer service will be worse. You can be confident in the Utility Warehouse! They are a Which? Recommended Provider, rated five out of five for customer service and they make the switching process pain-free.

Tied-in people - Is that you? Some people know they could save money elsewhere but theyre tied into a contract. Why do companies do that? The Utility Warehouse wont tie you into a minimum-term contract for most services theyre confident youll be happy, so dont need to.

Hoodwinked people - Is that you? Some people sign up for a great deal from other suppliers then they receive confusing or unclear bills, with charges much higher than they expected. The Utility Warehouse Discount Club offers consistently good value, with a single clear statement for all your services, so its easy to see what youre being charged and why.

Busy people - Is that you? Some people know they should switch to save money but what a hassle! If only someone would come and help them do the hard work!Members of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club join through an Authorised Distributor who does all the hard work for you it also means you always have a personal contact to call.

The Utility Warehouse is very different to other suppliers. They dont have any high street shops and because (unlike their competitors) they dont spend customers money on expensive advertising campaigns on TV or in the national press, they can afford to charge their customers less for the same services.
