    Read Before Listening: Lets know a little bit about this Jewish Celebration called Rosh Hashanah

    (Hebrew: ) which is their New Year. Jewish New Years Day is usually in September or

    October of our calendar. It is the first of the High Holy Days which occur in the fall. It is described in

    the Torah (Bible) as (Yom Teruah, a day of sounding [the Shofar]). Rosh Hashanah

    customs include sounding the shofar (rams horn) and eating symbolic foods such as apples dipped
