Nine is the story of a famous film director and his attempts to come up with a plot for his next film as he is pursued by hordes of beautiful women.

The story of Ellie's rise to fame and fortune is punctuated with the virtual Hit Parade of her music: "Chapel of Love," "Da Do Ron Ron," "Be My Baby," "Hanky Panky," "Do Wah Diddy," "And Then He Kissed Me" and, of course, the title song.

In the age of Aquarius, a time of harmony and understanding, sex and drugs used as vehicles to evade reality and the establishment. Skin colors are insignificant. As a social commentary of our times, HAIR provides an insight into the philosophy of the flower children of the 1960s. Claude: 20’s. Berger’s best friend, kind and caring, he struggles constantly about whether or not to burn his draft card and fight in Vietnam. Strong rock singer (to F).

Sheila: 20’s. Girlfriend to Berger. Smart NYU student who actively protests the Vietnam war. Pop belt.

Hud: 20’s. African American. Energetic, outspoken leader. Rock baritone.
