Each player then takes a number o cards off the top o theirdeck equal to their characters lie stat (on the race board), andputs them ace down in a pile to their lef. Tis is called the lifepile.A player loses when they have no cards lef in their lie pile.

Place the remaining cards in the draw deck ace down on the

players right. Players should leave room or a discard pile aswell as leaving room in ront o their race and class boards ortheir aggression pilewhich will be built during the game.

Next, each player draws a starting hand o 5 cards. Teplayer with the highest total initiative goes first (to find

your characters initiative, add the initiative numbers onyour race and class boards together). In the case o a tie,

the player with the lowest lie goes first. I that is alsotied, both players discard the top card o their deck andcompare the cost o the cards; highest cost goes first(skill cards have 0 cost).

Epic PvP is played in turns, with each player takingturns back-and-orth until one player has their liepile reduced to zero cards, at which point the otherplayer wins. Each turn is straightorward and

ollows these steps.1. Aggression Phase:ake two cards rom the

top o your deck and, without looking atthem, add them to your aggression pile.Your aggression pile provides you energyto play moves during your turn.

    2. Draw Phase:I you want, you may draw any

number o cardsfrom your aggression pileand put them in your hand. You MUSdeclare how many you want to draw beforeyou start drawing. And remember, youraggression pile provides you with energyto play cards, so every card you drawwill reduce the amount o energy youhave lef to play cards during your turn

    3. Play Moves:You can play move cyour hand with a total cost equal than)the number o cards in youpile (For example: I a player has 2

they can play a single 2 cost move, moves, a single 1 cost move, or no

Put any move cards you play in thyou and your enemy with the detowards your enemy.

    4. Assign Blocks:You may assign anymoves to block incoming attacks th

my has (i any) in the field rom tonly i your move has a deense at as the attack. Each deense can onto a single attack. You may not split uagainst multiple attacks or add up mdeense against a single attack.

    5. Block: Tis is when all the deenses that you assigned to attacksactually block (Some card abilities happen during this step).

    6. ake Damage:I there are any remaining unblocked enemy attacksin the field, you take 1 damage rom each attack (each attack justdoes 1 damage if unblocked,NOT damage equal to the attack stat).

For each damage you take, reveal the top card o your lie pile cardsand add it to your discard pile (which is always ace up).

    7. End Phase:Spin your moves around so the attack stat is now pointedtowards your enemy. Any abilities that says End Phase go offhere as well. Ten, your enemy discards all move cards they havein the field (the ones that were blocked and the ones that did damage). At this point you should be the only player with move cards inthe field.

Tats it. Just keep going back and orth playing turns until oneo you is out o lie. OK, Tats not all of it

Getting ired (reshuffling your deck):When you need to draw a card rom your deck (to use asaggression or or any other reason), and there are no cardslef in your deck, you take 1 damage. Ten, reshuffle your

discard pile to make a new draw deck.

iming:Sometimes two abilities will happen at the same time.I the abilities are controlled by the same player, then thatplayer gets to choose which one happens first resolve thatone ully, then move on to the other. I they are controlledby different players (very rare), first all cards in play happen

in an order chosen by the player whose turn it is, then cardsthat players play rom their hand happen.

A Few Points On Card Effects In 2-On-2:

    1) Te Word Enemy:In 2-vs-2, your enemy is theplayer directly across rom you or card abilities. Soi a card says i your enemy blocks this move, youdraw a card you ONLY get to draw a card i the

player directly across rom you was the one whoblocked your move Tis can greatly affect how youplay your cards.

    2) Damage Effects:Some effects happen whendamage is taken. I you have an effect that triggerswhen you take damage, it only triggers i the liecard rom your teams lie pile is rom your deck.

Tats it, just play until one team is out o lie, makingthe other team the winners

High Elf:Long-lived enough to be super annoying at cocktailparties, High Elves are super ast and they rarely make a mistake. And they will tell you about your mistakes until you want topunch them in the ace. Which you likely cant do as they will see
