An Ancient Travel Journey

• Located along the coastline of the Aegean Sea, this city was considered to be the connection portal in which the west, “Greece and Rome” visited the east, Asia.

• During the first and the second century A.D. Ephesus, was at its peak. A vibrant city with

comfortable hillside homes and a population of about 250,000 people.

• Today visitors are enticed the ambiance of the biblical and mythological, along with the accounting of the emperors and saints, which lived and visited this once magnificent city.

• Most visitors to Ephesus arrive by cruise ship.

• Some visitors begin their excursion at the impressive Gate of Hercules .

• Once in Ephesus it is not hard to imagine the historical past. The colonnade streets are adorned

and remarkably preserved Greco-Roman relics with beautiful temples and shrines.

Ephesus dates back to 2000 B. C., if

you were to walk along the marble

streets it was considered the

“ ancient worlds Rodeo Drive”.
