In this video, Steve Jobs talked about 3 stories that happened in his life. He has

implemented these language skills - concrete, dating and indexing. In the first

story he talked about, he mentioned that his biological mother wanted him to

be adopted only by educated couple who was a lawyer, in this part, Steve

Jobs’s mother was being concrete that she is being specific enough to whom

she wants her son to be adopted to but he ends up being adopted by parents

who both were not graduates. Indexing complements over here with what he

stories about his life. Indexing is defined as identifying something special and

unique. As example, the minute that Steve Jobs dropped out of college, he

decided to take calligraphy classes as he thought it was beautiful, art ist ically

subtle, and historical and also very fascinating. In this second story, indexing

implies as well. Even though he got fired from his own company, APPLE, he st ill

loved for what he was doing that he decided to start over. He then started of

with new companies called NEXT and PIXAR, and fell in love with the woman

he loved, Lorraine. In the third story, where he was diagnosed with a rare type

of pancreatic cancer which he was cured by surgery made him realise to live

his life t ill the very end by following what his heart and intuit ion says always.
