This is a direct hire position for a growing oil & gas technology solution company located in the Greenway Plaza area of Houston. The SQL Enterprise Database Architect will provide advanced technical support in the research, experimentation, business analysis and use of systems technology including architecture, integration capabilities and database management. Essential Responsibilities: - Build interfaces and create data interfaces and exchanges across a variety of sources and destinations - Collaboratively create and extend enterprise architecture standards - Develop solution patterns, Data Flow Diagrams, Data Models, ER Models and architectural specifications for their area(s) and work closely with other teams to implement them successfully - Implement robust replication plans which will accommodate for multiple locations, redundancy and failover support for database applications - Maintain documentation of data architecture - Provide technical and data leadership including being conversant with and cognizant of the future direction of database technology, how that direction will impact the our products and service offerings - Responsible for performance tuning of database functions, SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, etc. to ensure that scalability demands are met Required Skills: - 3 to 5+ years of Enterprise Database Architecture experience - Proven background with the Microsoft technology platform as an architect and designer of service oriented enterprise applications - Extensive experience with SQL Server (tables, unions, joins, complex queries, stored procedures and XML/SOAP/web services,) - Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 administration and optimization. - Expertise on SSIS / SSAS / SSRS - Experience with multiple RDBMS systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.... - Ability to implement, reliable System and Database Backup procedures - Ability to interpret business logic and develop appropriate data-flows and

Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study
