The planned fast is for any 24 hours between Saturday 25 th November and finishing at 12 noon on Sunday 26 th November. Peo- ple can complete the fast at anytime in the coming weeks. Should anyone wish to carry an appeal box in their business premises or take part in the fast, please contact Eugene Doyle on 053 9235287. THE FIRST ‘WORLD DAY OF THE POOR’ 19 TH NOVEMBER Pope Francis has inaugurated an annual World Day of the Poor that will be marked this Sunday 19 th November. This issue was raised and discussed at the October meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council. This weekend we welcome at the Vigil Mass Fr. Peter McVerry SJ, the homless activist and advocate of the poor.
