Sign In To Employee Space From the Employee Portal click the Employee Space link.

At the Sign In page, select your organization from the following list. Select adfs.greenville.k12.sc.us from the drop-down menu and click the Continue to Sign In button

The login page will open. Use your <userID> and district <password> to login to Employee Space. Press [Enter] or click the Sign in button

Your Employee Space homepage will open. Notice you have a Menu Bar and various icons for navigation. My Reviews, My Development, My Profile, Find a Coworker, and Opportunities are listed on the menu bar and have icons in the work space. The other icons: On Line Paystub, Direct Deposit, W4, Current Benefits, and Leave Balances are listed in the drop-down menu of the To Do option on the menu bar. You should see your name to the left of the work space and in the upper right corner of the page. Click Home from any page to return to your home page.

Click the icon next to your user name to display a drop-down menu. Select Sign out to exit Employee Space.

Disclaimer: If you are an employee that works in Lawson regularly in the performance of your daily tasks, it is recommended you log out of Employee Space and close all browser sessions before logging in to Lawson to continue with your daily tasks.

NOTE: Please report any problems with Employee Space to your Technology Assistance Coordinator (TAC). If necessary, they will open a Lawson Support Request.

My Reviews NOTE: This feature is not currently available, but will be released at a future date.

From your Employee Space homepage, click My Reviews or the associated icon to complete this year’s appraisal or view past appraisals. You can also select My Reviews from the menu bar.

My Development NOTE: This feature is not currently available, but will be released at a future date.

My Profile From your Employee Space homepage, click My Profile or the associated icon to view and update your profile. You can also select My Profile from the menu bar.

Your profile page will open to the At A Glance page

Click the Work Assignments tab to view your work assignments and any Leave of Absence records.

Click the Personal Information tab to view or update your contact information, emergency contacts, addresses, dependents and property records.

To update Contact Information, double-click a record in Contact Information. A Resource Contact page will open. The Resource Contact page can also be opened by right-clicking on the record and selecting Open from the short-cut menu. For telephone records, Update Phone can also be selected to open the Resource Contact page.

Update the information, as applicable to the resource opened, including the Effective Date.

TIP: To use today’s date in the Effective Date field, type t and press [Enter].

Click the Save icon. At the top of the page a message should briefly display “Update Phone Completed Successfully” or a similar message depending on the resource updated.

To delete a resource that is no longer available, such as a landline telephone number, open the record and select the delete icon or right-click on the record and select Delete from the short-cut menu.

NOTE: You cannot delete a Preferred Contact. Attempts to delete a record that indicated it is a preferred contact will result in a “Delete Error”.

If you receive this error, click OK to continue with the delete resource process. On the resource contact page, click the Action drop-down arrow and select Inactivate from the short-cut menu.

A “Confirmation Required” pop-up message will open. Click Yes to inactivate and remove as preferred.

The Resource Contact page will refresh and the Active box and the Preferred Telephone Or Fax Number will be unchecked.

Enter an <Effective Date> and click the Delete icon.

TIP: To use today’s date in the Effective Date field, type t and press [Enter].

Failure to enter an effective date will cause a “Response Required” message to open requesting an effective date. Enter the effective date and click OK.

A “Confirm Delete” pop-up message will display. Click Yes to permanently delete the resource.

A Windows Internet Explorer pop-up message asks: “Are you sure you want to leave this page?” Select Leave this page.

The page will refresh to the My Profile>Personal Information and the deleted record will no longer be listed in the Contact Information.

To add a phone, click the Add Phone menu option. An “Add A Telephone Pager Or Fax Number For Employee EID” dialogue box will open.

Enter an <Effective Date>, select the Telephone Type from the drop-down menu, type US for the Country and type the <area code> in the first telephone number field and type the <7-digit number> in the next telephone number field. Type an <extension>, if applicable. If this is to be listed as a preferred resource contact, check the Preferred Telephone Pager Or Fax Number box.

Click OK.

The page will refresh to the My Profile>Personal Information and the new record will be listed in the Contact Information.

NOTE: The District requires each employee to update their emergency contact information annually. You may receive email notification if more than a year has passed since your last update to your emergency contact information.

To update your Emergency Contacts, double-click a record in Emergency Contacts. A Change Emergency Contact For Employee EID dialogue box will open. This dialogue box can also be opened by right-clicking on the record and selecting Open or Change Contact from the short-cut menu.

Update the information, as applicable to the emergency contact record opened, including the Effective Date. NOTE: The Effective Date must be the current date.

TIP: To use today’s date in the Effective Date field, type t and press [Enter].

Even if you do not update any information, you must enter an Effective Date to fulfill the District’s requirement for an annual update of Emergency Contact Information.

Each emergency contact listed must be updated in this manner.

If you click OK without entering an Effective Date (today’s date) you will be prompted to enter by a message that states “Field Effective Date is required”.

To add an emergency contact, click the Create menu option in the Emergency Contacts section.

An Add Emergency Contact For Employee-EID dialogue box will open (the dialogue box looks like the change emergency contact box shown above). Enter <contact information>, as applicable, and click the OK button. NOTE: The Effective Date must be the current date.

The page will refresh to the My Profile>Personal Information and the new record will be listed in the Emergency Contacts section.

To delete an Emergency Contact record, either click the Emergency Contacts>Delete menu option or right-click on the record to be deleted and select Delete Contact from the short-cut menu. You will be prompted for an effective date.

Enter the Effective Date and click OK. A Confirm Delete Contact pop-up message will open. Click Yes to permanently delete the contact.

The page will refresh to the My Profile>Personal Information and the deleted record will no longer be listed in the Emergency Contacts section.

Viewing, changing, adding, or deleting Personal Information>Addresses has functions similarly to procedures used in the other sections of Personal Information. The effective date is always required for any changes.

The other sections of your Profile page may or may not contain information. Those sections include Compensation, Work Preferences, Performance, Talent Profile, Fit Analysis, Activities, and Mentors. In the example shown below the Compensation tab displays your Position, Full Time Equivalent (FTE) and Pay Rate for each work assignment. These records are view only.

Find A Coworker The Find a Coworker can be used to Search in Organization History for an employee that works with you. Enter search criteria such as Last Name and press [Enter]. You can email the employee found by clicking the email icon in the search results records for the employee.

Opportunities The Opportunities page provides a list of Available Jobs, Recent Jobs, and Hot Jobs. There are also tabs for My Job Cart and My Applications. Notice that the available jobs are searchable by Keyword, Job ID, Location, Category, and Work Type.

On Line Paystub The On Line Paystub part of Employee Space is a link to the login page for On Line Paystub. To go to the login page click On Line Paystub or the associated icon. You can also reach the login page by clicking the To Do drop down menu, hover over Pay And Benefits and select Online Pay Stub from the short-cut menu. The page will open in a new browser window.

Click the icon and the Greenville County Schools Online Paystubs login page will open. Enter your <District credentials> to login.

Direct Deposit Click Direct Deposit or the associated icon to view and update your direct deposit information. You can also open Direct Deposit by clicking the To Do drop down menu, hover over Pay And Benefits and select Direct Deposit from the short-cut menu. The page will open in a new browser window.

If you receive the following Dialog message, you will need to return on a later date to view or update your direct deposit information.

When payroll is not being processed, the Direct Deposit page will open in a new browser window and display any account records. To add an account, click the Add button. You will be prompted to agree or disagree with a District statement in order to continue.

If you agree you the page will refresh with an Add Account section. Complete all required fields and click the Update button.

If you disagree with the statement, you will be returned to your Accounts page.

To close an account, click the Close Account link at the end of the account record. A Dialog box will ask “Are you sure you want to close <Bank Account>?” Click OK to close the account.

To view or update an existing account, click the account number in the record. You will be prompted to agree or disagree with a District statement in order to continue. Select the “I agree with this statement” and click the Continue button to view or update your account. The account selected will open providing details of the account.

W4 To view or update your W4 click W4 or the associated icon. You can also open W4 by clicking the To Do drop down menu; hover over Pay And Benefits and select W4 from the short-cut menu. The page will open in a new browser window.

NOTE: If you receive the following Dialog message, you will need to return on a later date to view or update your W4 information.

When payroll is not being processed, the Tax Withholding page will open in a new browser window displaying a Federal Tax and if applicable, a South Carolina or other state tax record.

Click the icon in the left column of the state tax record to view or change information. Complete any updates and click the Continue button

A Dialog box will open discussing the two options, update or cancel. Click the Update button to save your changes to your W4.

The page will refresh to the W4 section.

Click the icon in the left column of the Federal tax record to view or change information on W-4 Form. Form W-4 will open with your current information.

If assistance is needed with the form, click the W-4 Instructions link in the lower right corner. A Form W-4 pdf file will open in a new window. After you have made any changes click the Continue button. You will receive the same dialog message you receive with the state tax update. Click Update.

This W-4 page is printable. Click the print button.

Current Benefits To view your Current Benefits click Current Benefits or the associated icon. You can also view your current benefits by clicking the To Do drop down menu, hover over Pay And Benefits and select Current Benefits from the short-cut menu. The page will open in a new browser window.

This page provides a link to the Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) webpage where an employee can access information about their PEBA coverage. There is also a District link with additional information on benefits offered through Greenville County Schools.

Leave Balances To view your Leave Balances click Leave Balances or the associated icon. You can also view your leave balances by clicking the To Do drop down menu, hover over Pay And Benefits and select Leave Balances from the short-cut menu. The page will open in a new browser window.

This page is view only and printable. Click the print button to print the information.
