One of the greatest influences on EmilyOne of the greatest influences on Emily was in taking a gap year between high school and college.  Already accepted as a Danforth Scholar at Washingtonas a Danforth Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis, she sought to reflect on what she had learned, to

Portugal caused her to reconfirm her commitment to learning and t ib t d t h d ti fcontributed to her graduating from 

college with honors.

Purpose & Mission

The PURPOSE of the Emily Dunn Memorial Scholarship Fund for 

International Gap Year Studies is to provide an opportunity for students toprovide an opportunity for students to choose an experience that will help 

them to grow, challenge them emotionally, physically, and 

intellectually, and to insure that experience extends beyond the boundaries of the United States.
