Purpose & Mission

The PURPOSE of the Emily Dunn Memorial Scholarship Fund for 

International Gap Year Studies is to provide an opportunity for students toprovide an opportunity for students to choose an experience that will help 

them to grow, challenge them emotionally, physically, and 

intellectually, and to insure that experience extends beyond the boundaries of the United States.

The MISSION of the Emily Dunn Memorial Scholarship Fund for 

International Gap Year Studies is to t t th l f E il Dperpetuate the legacy of Emily Dunn, 

graduate of the Lovett School, through the encouragement of students to take a gap year between high school and g p y gcollege in order to broaden their understanding of the world.
