WDI - Women’s Development Initiative LGBTQ+ Resource Group

MEMBERSHIP: A steering committee of attorneys who act as contact points in their respective offices for all attorneys with an interest in supporting the WDI.

MISSION: To maximize women’s contributions to the firm by supporting their advancement as lawyers and leaders and increasing their retention and ascension to equity partnership by providing outstanding service in their clients’ core industries, cultivating professional networks, developing business opportunities and engaging the communities they serve.

INITIATIVES: ∙ Advocacy for women attorneys. ∙ Networking and business development events. ∙ Business development coaching and support. ∙ Integration of new women attorneys. ∙ Support for transitions related to family leave.

MEMBERSHIP: Attorneys from all firm offices with an interest in offering support for LGBT issues. All attorneys are welcome to join.

MISSION: To create a support network to ensure LGBT attorneys and summer associates have equal opportunities for advancement and professional development. The group works toward these goals on two levels: with firm management and with lawyers identifying as LGBT.

INITIATIVES: ∙ Social and networking events for LGBT attorneys and

their business contacts. ∙ Guidance to the firm on which LGBT events to

participate in and sponsor.

Minority Attorneys Resource Group

MEMBERSHIP: Attorneys from all firm offices who are racial or ethnic minorities and allies.

MISSION: The mission of the Minority Attorney Resource Group is to foster the advancement and promotion of our racially and ethnically diverse attorneys by developing and creating opportunities for mentorship, leadership, community engagement, business development and skills development.

INITIATIVES: ∙ Build community and mentoring relationships. ∙ Communicate and explore metrics for promotion and

compensation. ∙ Promote business development opportunities. ∙ Promote leadership development opportunities. ∙ Promote skills development opportunities.

Allies for Work-Life Integration (ALL WIN)

MEMBERSHIP: Attorneys from all firm offices with an interest in work-life integration issues. All attorneys, regardless of gender, are welcome to join.

MISSION: To identify creative solutions and propose innovative policies for helping all attorneys at the firm attain work-life integration.

INITIATIVES: ∙ Work in conjunction with the Career Development

Committee, the WDI, and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee to ensure that all attorneys have adequate support and opportunities for success irrespective of their work-life integration choices.

∙ Provide support for attorneys who take advantage of, or who work with attorneys who take advantage of, the firm’s Flexible Working Arrangement Policy. This policy enables attorneys who have the requisite amount of experience to work flexible hours while still remaining committed professionals by working part-time, telecommuting, or otherwise working from outside the office on a regular basis.
