This retrofitting kit is intended forthe replacement of thewithdrawal version of NovomaxG30 air circuit breakers, from800A to 1600A, enabling theinstallation of a new, moremodern Emax Xl type of opencircuit breaker of the same sizein the old fixed part.Full consistency of the electricalfeatures (rated current andbreaking capacity) is guaranteedproviding the choice of CB ismade in accordance with thecontent of the ABB technicalcatalogue n° 1SDC001008D0901concerning retrofitting products.This kit has also been designedto enable the functionalities ofthe auxiliary circuits and theplugging in and out proceduresof the old CB to be maintained,without having to make anychanges to the live parts of theswitchboard.
Retrofitting enables a control andprotection device that hasbecome obsolete to be replacedwithout having to alter theoriginal design data of theexisting switchboard in any way.If the new circuit breaker has abetter performance rating thanthe old device, the retrofitting kitsare sized to suit the performanceof the old device. a) Afin de garantir la sécuritédu personnel chargé del'installation du kit, avantde procéder auremplacement dudisjoncteur, il estrecommandé d'effectuerscrupuleusement lesopérations suivantes:- Mettre hors service letableau où sera effectuéle remplacement.
- Mettre le disjoncteur àremplacer en positionouvert, ressortsdésarmés.
- Avant de débrocherl'appareil, contrôler denouveau que toutes lesutilisations possibles(disjoncteur danstableau, tableau dansson ensemble et toutautre dispositif à mêmede faire arriver ducourant au disjoncteur,etc.) ont été mises horsservice.
b) Débrocher la partie mobilede l'ancien disjoncteurselon les procéduresindiquées de la fig. 1 à lafig. 4, ou consulter lemanuel d'utilisation etd'entretien du disjoncteurNovomax G30.

Position from plugged-in to isolated for testing- Rotate the levers upwards. Insert the lever , as
shown in the figure, and rotate it downwards until it locksinto place.In this position, the mobile sliding contacts are insertedin the fixed contacts and the continuity of the auxiliarycircuits is achieved, whereas the main circuits are stillisolated.
Position: von Betriebsstellung nach Prüfstellung- Die Hebel . nach oben drehen, den Hebel wie in der
Abbildung gezeigt einsetzen und nach unten in dieVerriegelungsstellung drehen.In dieser Stellung befinden sich die beweglichenGleitkontakte in den festen Gleitkontakten und dieHilfsstromkreise sind angeschlossen. DieHauptstromkreise sind hingegen getrennt.

Position from isolated for testing to fully isolated.- Remove the lever , rotate the two levers downward and
withdraw the circuit breaker further, until it comes into the newlocked position.In this position, both the auxiliary circuits and the main circuitsare isolated.
Position: von Prüfstellung nach Trennstellung.- Den Hebel , entfernen, die zwei Hebel nach unten drehen
und den Schalter bis zur neuen Verriegelungsstellung weiterausfahren.In dieser Stellung sind sowohl die Hilfsstromkreise als auch dieHauptstromkreise getrennt.
Position de sectionné en essai à sectionné.- Enlever le levier , faire tourner les deux leviers vers le bas
et extraire encore le disjoncteur jusqu'à la nouvelle position deverrouillage.Dans cette position, tant les circuits auxiliaires que les circuitsprincipaux sont sectionnés.

3 Posizione da sezionato a estratto.- Ruotare verso l’alto le due leve ed estrarre ulteriormente
l’interruttore dalla sua base fissa fino a raggiungere la nuovaposizione di blocco.In questa posizione l’interruttore risulta estratto.
Position from fully isolated to withdrawn.- Rotate the two levers upwards and withdraw the circuit
breaker further from its fixed base until you reach the newlocked positio.In this position, the circuit breaker is withdrawn.
Position: von Trennstellung nach Ausgefahren.- Die zwei Hebel nach oben drehen und den Schalter aus
seinem Unterteil bis in die neue Verriegelungsstellung weiterausfahren.In dieser Stellung ist der Schalter ausgefahren.
Position de sectionné à débroché.- Faire tourner les deux leviers vers le haut et extraire encore
le disjoncteur de sa partie fixe jusqu'à atteindre la nouvelleposition de verrouillage.Dans cette position, le disjoncteur est débroché.

4 Interruttore estratto.- Per togliere l’interruttore dalla sua base fissa occorre
routare le leve verso il basso, ed estrarre l’interruttorefino a raggiungere la posizione di blocco.Da questo momento, dopo aver preso le precauzioninecessarie alla movimentazione della parte mobile,ruotare le leve verso l’alto; la parte mobile è ora libera diuscire dalla parte fissa.
Circuit breaker withdrawn.- To remove the circuit breaker from its fixed base, you
need to rotate the levers downwards, and withdrawthe circuit breaker until it reaches the locked position.From this point onwards, after taking the necessaryprecautions for the handling of the mobile part, rotatethe levers upwards; the mobile part is then free to bedetached from the fixed part.
Ausgefahrener Schalter.- Um den Schalter aus seinem Unterteil zu nehmen, muss
man die Hebel nach unten drehen und den Schalterbis zur Verriegelungsstellung ausfahren.Nun muss man, nachdem man die erforderlichenSicherheitsvorkehrungen für die Handhabung desbeweglichen Teils getroffen hat, die Hebel nach obendrehen; das bewegliche Teil kann nun vom Unterteilgelöst werden.

tourner les leviers vers le bas, et extraire ledisjoncteur jusqu'à atteindre la position de verrouillage.À partir de ce moment, après avoir pris les précautionsnécessaires pour la manutention de la partie mobile,faire tourner les leviers vers le haut; la partie mobile estmaintenant libre de sortir de la partie fixe.
Interruptor automático extraído.- Para retirar el interruptor automático de la parte fija,
bajar las palancas y extraer el interruptor hasta llegara la posición de bloqueo.A continuación, tras haber tomado las precaucionesnecesarias para el desplazamiento de la parte móvil,levantar las palancas y la parte móvil podrá separarsede la parte fija.

nella sua base fissa fino a raggiungere la nuova posizione di blocco.- La posizione raggiunta è la posizione di “interruttore sezionato prova”.- In questa posizione i contatti striscianti mobili sono inseriti in quelli
fissi e si realizza la continuità dei circuiti ausiliari. Viceversa risultanoancora sezionati i circuiti principali.
Circuit breaker from fully isolated to isolated for testing.- Rotate the two levers upwards and further insert the circuit breaker
inside its fixed base until it reaches the new locked position.- The position reached is the so-called “circuit breaker isolated for
testing” position.- In this position, the mobile sliding contacts are inserted in the fixed
contacts and the continuity of the auxiliary circuits is achieved,whereas the main circuits are still isolated.

- By taking action forcefully on the lever , make sure thatthe circuit breaker remains firmly in place.
