experience she will never forget and cannot wait until next year.

Kristi has an internship this summer with Missouri Sports Hall of

Fame and will work with three other interns in planning the Price

Cutter Charity Championship, part of the Nationwide PGA tour. She

is looking forward to any upcoming socials and the Super Bowl next

Springfield. Mike’s favorite EMA event so far was the Chicago

Hello EMA Members & Friends!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We hope everyone was able to enjoy the wonderful weather this

weekend and relax a little before heading back into another week

of school. Valentine’s Day is this Saturday guys, so make sure to

spend some quality time with that special someone. Also, thanks

to everyone who came to our last EMA meeting. We had a great

time recapping the trips to the SuperBowl and Pollstar and

watching the awesome new EMA video thanks to Matt & Doug!

Check it out on the EMA Facebook Webpage if you haven’t done so already.

Event Spotlight: Leader Elections

Leader elections for the 2009-2010 school year will be coming up

before you know it. We will hold nominations at the EMA meeting

on March 18th at 5 p.m. You can nominate yourself or a friend for

any position. The only restriction is that nominees for President

must have been an EMA leader previously. The elections will then

follow on April 1st. For information about the EMA leadership

positions, be sure to check out Blackboard for more in depth

descriptions. Also, if you are interested in a position contact the

current leader to learn more about what they do throughout the

year. We look forward to seeing what the new leaders can bring to

the organization next year!

professionally in the Top Fuel Dragsters. She

has been Drag Racing for 13 years and the

first day at the track was when she was 10 days old. Heather feels that racing is truly in her

blood. This semester Heather really enjoyed the Super Bowl trip and getting to know

everybody. She looks forward to meeting more people and expanding the relationships

she’s already made. Many people don’t know that Heather got in a Drag Racing accident

when she was 13 years old, causing her to lose a finger, which she likes to joke around

Event Spotlight: Concert Industry Consortium – Pollstar, Los Angeles

This week, a group of EMA members will be

heading off to L.A. to volunteer at the

Concert Industry Consortium (CIC), also

known as the Pollstar Conference. The CIC

was founded in 1994 in order to facilitate

communication among key professionals within the music industry. Professionals in

attendance include major booking agencies, concert promotion, facility

management, and record companies. Numerous issues facing the industry are

addressed at the CIC through panel discussions among professionals with

participation from the audience. EMA members attending the event will have the

chance to network with those in the industry and learn valuable information from

those who are successful in the music business. We can’t wait to hear all about the

trip at the next EMA meeting!

week and really enjoyed the Blues game in St. Louis over

Christmas break. Something interesting about Jaclyn is that

she is a figure skater and a Diamond Girl for Missouri State.

The Super Bowl is less than two weeks away!! EMA members

finishing in 2010. Doug would love to become a General

Manager of an arena or stadium during his career. He has

worked for six seasons in rides at Six Flags and interned at

the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Doug is most looking

forward to exciting socials this semester. Something you

might not know about Doug is that he was once shot in the

eye with a BB gun. Doug’s advice: “Always listen in to those

in the field, take notes on their words of wisdom, enjoy the
