CORAX® Armors

Elet.Ca armors are developed to ensure a superior level of ballistic protection and quality, employing typical ae-rospace industry techniques for the construction of com-posite materials parts. Armors are manufactured using specifi c pre-impregnated material, with the resin applied through a fully automated industrial process.

This grants to the products an ideal saturation of the re-sin, thus eliminating porosities and voids between matrix and fi bers, and ensuring an optimal bonding within layers. The panels meet the strictest military standards, as far as the environmental (MIL STD 810) and structural require-ments are concerned. Armors can be delivered also turnkey, complete with the fi xtures for fastening on the vehicle.

CORAX ARMORED DOORSElet.Ca has developed Corax® anti bullet panels for ap-plication in armored doors according to the most com-mon UNI EN 1522 homologations:

FB2 9 mm parabellum thickness 6 mm weight 6.0 kg/m2

Thanks to the panels’ light weight, the substitution of door hinges is not required; inserting the panels into the door structure is also made easier. According to the door specifi cations, panels can be sup-plied with slots to accommodate locks, bars and handles.

Corax® panels can also be employed as the structure for the door itself and can be easily painted. In addition to anti-bullet properties, panels guarantee protection against pointed tools such as pick axes.

Superior protection levels (eg. to diamond grinding wheels) can be obtained through panels of different composition and weight.

PERSONAL PROTECTIONHARD PLATES

Corax® personal protection hard plates by Elet.Ca use advanced composite materials and can be employed either as vests or as stand-alone plates in other military or civilian applications. The use of innovative aluminium oxide (Al2O3) compounds on the strike face and of dif-ferent compositions in the backing allow for multi-hit

resistance compared to boron carbide plates - up to lev-el IV according to NIJ norms - while maintaining lower weight compared to traditional ceramic panels.

Elet.ca can develop custom shapes, sizes and resistan-ce levels based on specifi c technical requirements.

Elet.Ca develops and manufactures, also based on custo-mer defi ned projects, any type of radomes, polarizers, co-vers and other technologically advanced equipment made of composite materials for civilian and military applications in the automotive, aerospace, naval and rail industries.

Elet.Ca composite materials are manufactured accor-ding to dedicated formulas in order to guarantee specifi c

properties of mechanical and thermal resistance, em-ploying several types of fi bres (carbon, aramide, silica, kevlar and others) and resins. Materials then go through internal product qualifi cation processes.

Elet.Ca production equipment include high-tech waterjet precision cutting, shaping and fi nishing tools for all cu-stom-design components.
