ELENA DEL SIGNORE
PARKING for PEOPLE
The project is a public meeting node , it proposes a set of prototypical tactics for temporary activation and appropria-tion that could be replicable in different contexts. The project operates simulta-neously in a spatial [macro] scale and human [micro] scale. It is a hybrid system that operates between the scale of infrastructure, space and object. It offers a time-based scenario that takes into consideration material and program-matic strategies as a mode to redefine its urban presence. Its spatial definition is negotiated through hard and soft forms that trigger the creation of temporary social spaces for aggregation. The project is intended to be developed as a prototype that could be relocated and reused throughout the city.

IN_FLUSSI
In_Flussi is a canopy for temporary events and performances, made with recycled fabric used for the olive harvest. The suspended canopy is anchored to the existing 13th century cloister and it is a visual filter between the ground and the sky. The surface is organized in a 5x5 grid, generating a structure composed by four types of modules resulting in a connected surface of twenty-five units. Each module corresponds to a specific type of relationship between the body- vision and occupation. The modules made of fabric mesh define zones of visual and physical interaction, engaging the audience into a dynamic flow. The openings allow a direct visual trajectory projected towards the sky; the extrusions embrace the body, creating individual moments within the collective space. Because of its modular and light-weight nature, It is a transport-able and flexible structure that can be re-used in similar urban conditions.

CUBINTRECCIO
Prototype for covered space , developed through a “do it yourself” process. The main construction materials are: plastic strings, net for gardening, iron square tubes. Cubintreccio can be considered a mixed product between craft and industry, the customer is involved in the construction of the surfaces by woven fabrics.Cubintreccio was presented at the “International outdoor fair 2010 ”- "Design it yourself" in collaboration with “Brico center” (sponsor). Cubintreccio was designed in the vision of modern user, that also needs rediscovery of craftman-ship, the value of uniqueness handmade product.

HOLI
Holi is a seating system for public spaces. Holi is developed through an intense research on color and textures as a possible solution for public spaces. It is also designed to engage the users in a perceptual experience by developing colors and textures as urban signal.

BIO - LANDSCAPE
Biolandscape aims to create an artificial topography from products of different scales derived from mater-bi : bio-plastic derived from renewable raw materials of agricultural origin and non-genetically modified starch, is reportedly completely biodegrad-able and compostable. The topography is developed as a spatial metaphor of a corn plant; the spatial configuration based on an idea of modularity and assembly to the generation of a more complex shape. The topography is placed in the public space as an “island city” can raise awareness of the issues of biodegradability and sustainability environment.

ANEMONE
Anemone fits in the space as a microar-chitecture, which does not invade the environment, but it absorbs the forms and merges with it, taking the sinuosity of the natural elements and visual displays that nature is able to create. It is a product that includes a variety of functions: it acts as a seat, a shelter and a partition from the surrounding context.Joining together a series of these units generates a circular space and this may be both inside and out, for socialize and reflection. Anemone is suitable for outdoor public places, parks of the city , but also to private outdoor environments.Assembly and dismantling are made easy by the interlocking mechanisms. In addition, the materials can be easily disposed of recycled.
