EHT® works to strengthen microtubules, the structural component of neurons, by activating PP2A which leads to the formation of strong tau bonds within microtubules. Fighting the aging process physically & mentally

Introduction

This paper introduces EHT® (eicosanoyl-5-hydroxytryptamide), a proprietary extract consisting of a naturally occurring mix of bioactive molecules isolated from coffee that protects and strengthens neuron connections by preventing damage to tau, an essential brain protein. EHT® works to strengthen microtubules, the structural component of neurons, by activating PP2A which leads to the formation of strong tau bonds within microtubules. When weak tau bonds are formed these neurons may be damaged and weakened by causes such as head trauma from athletic activity, aging, poor diet, alcohol consumption and environmental stressors. EHT® has been shown to activate PP2A, protein phosphatase 2A, and reduce tau hyperphosphorylation it does work to stabilize your microtubules and neurons which likely helps strengthen your overall brain health. The amount of variables to take into account that effect an athlete’s performance are numerous but our discussion will focus upon the on and off the field benefits of taking EHT®.

Training with EHT®

Athletes of all abilities have strengths and weakness that they work on to improve themselves. We train to strengthen these deficiencies because we want to be the best at what we do. Weather your strength training, or endurance training a healthy diet is necessary to provide energy to your muscles and especially nutritional support to your brain. One important component required to promote better brain health is tau, an essential brain protein. When strong tau bonds are formed within neurons they may help to promote improved athletic performance as well as better brain health to aid against environmental stressors as well as physical stressors that we encounter when participating in athletic activities. Speed, agility, reaction time, and strength are all dependent on how quick signals can travel to and from the brain to specific muscle groups. The activation of our fight or flight response that boost us to make the play of the game is dependent upon how quickly your brain signals your body to respond to stimuli. A healthier brain should correlate with better signal speeds leading to greater performances. Athletes test their body’s limits and the determining factor that allows you to push through that extra mile to achieve success is mental toughness. “I am an avid cyclist and cross fitter who loves being outdoors. I’ve noticed that EHT®’s Anti-oxidant properties help me with my recover and allow me and my family to continue to pursue a very active lifestyle.” said Max Stock, CEO of Signum Biosciences, Inc.

Our bodies can reach a physical plateau at which time experience and mental preparation are the deciding factors in achieving greatness. Yogi Berra stated that “Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical” so what can you do to enhance your mind?

We can take EHT® (eicosanoyl-5-hydroxytryptamide), a proprietary extract consisting of a naturally occurring mix of bioactive molecules isolated from coffee that protects and strengthens neuron connections by preventing damage to tau, an essential brain protein. Our goal is to get complete body workouts but we seem to always mange to forget to take care of our one thing that dictates how well our body performs, our brains. Signum Biosciences and Dr. Jeffry Stock a Princeton University professor has discovered the key ingredient in coffee that promotes better brain health. “My team and I identified

EHT®, a component of coffee, as a natural molecule that works to protect against mental decline and boost overall brain health and resiliency,” “said Jeffry Stock.

Anti-oxidant properties of EHT®

Exercise induces stress and free radial formation can lead to fatigue and injury over time. Every athlete will eventually get injured and feel fatigued due to some form of soreness. Steve Weatherford, NFL NY Giant punter, stated "There's a lot of issues that stem from brain injuries and it's not just professional athletes. This affects everybody. You can always get your knees replaced or your hip replaced or repaired, but you only get one brain, there’s no transplant for that". We must be proactive in taking care of our brain health because as Steve Weatherford stated we only get one brain.

Eating healthy and supplementation with vitamins and minerals are essential to a healthy brain and overall healthy lifestyle. EHT® has anti-oxidant properties that are beneficial to our overall health. . We can see trends growing with athletes incorporating superfoods into their diets whose nutritional value has been long recognized as exceptional. EHT® was compared to two known anti-oxidants, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and Trolox, a water-soluble analog of vitamin E. This analysis showed that EHT® is a much stronger anti-oxidant than Trolox and only slightly weaker than ascorbic acid (Fig. 6). EC50 concentrations: ascorbic acid 05.8±0.6 μM; EHT® 023.9± 7.8 μM; Trolox 0372.1 ±59.5 μM.

Fig. 6 EHT® is a direct anti-oxidant. Compounds tested in the ABTS radical scavenging colorimetric assay: ascorbic acid (▼), EHT (○) and Trolox (●). Data shown are means ± SEM from three independent experiments (Lee KW, 2013)

Utilizing EHT® as a dietary supplement strengthens the brain, to enhance its performance and minimize damage caused by a multitude of factors and protect it against injuries, and oxidative stress. EHT® was discovered to benefit everyone, for those who want to boost their brain health and perform at an optimal level. All athletes of all ages and abilities will continue to strive for success and they will continue to look for an edge that allows them to be sharper, faster, and stronger. “We’re fighting the aging process not only physically but mentally. One of the supplements I just started taking is EHT” said Steve Weatherford. As generations of athletes get stronger and competitions become fiercer athlete’s mental strength will become the defining factor in victories. “Mental preparation ahead of time is so vital to success on the field. It requires pondering ways to ensure success against your opponent.” says Ahmad Brooks, a former University of Texas at Austin defensive back who also played in the NFL in

Buffalo and New Orleans. It is in all of our best interests to fight against aging by becoming proactive about our health. It is never too late to make conscious decisions towards improving your well-being.
