ThE WENgER ADvANTAgE SOUNDLOK SOUND ISOLATION ROOMS

Superior Sound Isolation – Wenger guarantees sound isolation that’s 25% quieter than any other room on the market.

Room is Properly Tuned – The correct amount of absorption and diffusion is built-in so the musician can clearly hear the best possible sound.

Competitively Priced – Costs 10% less on average when compared to a properly-constructed stick-built practice room.

Relocatable and Modular – Each room can be relocated or resized as future program needs grow.

virtual Acoustics Option – Allows the musician to learn how to adapt to performing in different performance spaces and get immediate feedback with record/playback. See page 92.

SOUNDLOK® SOUND-ISOLATION ROOMSHow can a student be expected to practice the flute when the sound of the trumpet next door is blasting through the walls and leaking through the vents? Or how can a French horn player improve tone when the internal acoustics in the practice room are muddy or ex-cessively bright?

Wenger pioneered sound isolation in practice rooms, and we con-tinue to use the most advanced technologies to set new standards.

Our modular rooms offer a clean, attractive look with closure panels for a seamless installation.

ThE BENEFITS OF MODULAR PRACTICE ROOMS

Wenger invented modular sound-isolation practice rooms because we realized the limitations of built-ins. Years of experience have made the facts strikingly clear.• Our relocatable practice rooms offer superior and proven

sound isolation at a price that a built-in would find hard to match (if built to Wenger sound-isolation standards)

• We don’t cut corners so you don’t experience frustrating acoustical problems

• Wenger optional VAE-equipped practice rooms create 9 different acoustic environments and maximize instruction with record and playback capabilities

• Modular practice rooms cost less in the long run

EACh PANEL IS TUNED TO A PARTICULAR ACOUSTICAL TASKWenger has engineered five unique technical designs, in dozens of sizes, shapes, and diffusion angles and finish options, to yield a broad selection of acoustical panels.

ABSORBER PANELSSuited for a wide range of music environments. Designed to neutralize the reverberation and loudness of a room. Engineered to absorb sound across a broad frequency range for effective, balanced abatement.

TYPE I CONVEx DIFFUSER PANELSDesigned to scatter and blend sound, these panels diffuse middle- to high-range frequencies that define timbre and articulation.

TYPE II CONVEx DIFFUSER PANELSSignificantly larger than Type I panels, but with the same shape. In addition to sound-diffusion qualities, they selectively absorb low-frequency sound.

QUADRATIC DIFFUSER PANELSEngineered to provide the most effective diffusion in the 750 Hz to 3300 Hz range. These 4' x 4' (122 cm x 122 cm) diffusers are designed as easy-to-apply ceiling in-lays.

Wenger acoustical panels add visual appeal. You can choose from dozens of attractive fabric colors to coordinate with other Wenger products, and complement your color scheme.

Environmentally responsible

Fabric made of 100% recycled material

“The acoustical treatment has really changed our rehearsals; my students are excited to hear the difference. Band comes alive when you can move beyond learning your own part to analyzing other parts and hearing what the composer intended. I think that’s the ultimate enjoyment and reward of music in the band setting – it’s

about the ensemble.”

– Anthony H. Bailey, Director of Bands, Hart High School, Newhall, California

REhEARSAL ACOUSTICAL TREATMENTS

Whether you’re building a brand-new rehearsal room or need to enhance your existing space, Wenger can provide the consultation and acoustical panels to help you succeed. We design and manu-facture our own highly advanced acoustical products and Wenger knows how to apply them to optimize the acoustics in your room.

REhEARSAL ROOM ACOUSTICS

guaranteed Acoustical Performance – Every room is first analyzed to provide the best solution of absorption and diffusion – and then Wenger guarantees the resulting acoustical performance!

Solves Acoustic Problems – Wenger understands the acoustic problems that negatively affect rehearsal rooms such as flutter echo, hot spots and dead spots, clarity, and excessive loudness. Wenger has a diverse product offering to effectively eliminate these problems.

Aurilization Capability – Wenger can provide a simulation of the reverberation of a rehearsal room in order to “hear” the recommended acoustical effect before you purchase.

TUNABLE ACOUSTICAL PANELS

ThE WENgER ADvANTAgE TUNABLE ACOUSTICAL PANELS

Flexibility – Allows the same rehearsal room to be used for both instrumental and choral rehearsals. Amount of change in reverberation time is up to .8 seconds. Acoustical test data available.

No Need To Change Panels To Alter Acoustical Performance – Panels can be changed to be either an absorber or a diffuser. The turn of a handle changes internal air space to either absorb sound or diffuse sound.

Aesthetically Pleasing Appearance Compared To Fixed Panels – Can be used in college/university recital halls or school cafetoriums as well as rehearsal rooms. Able to match woodgrain finishes of Wenger cabinets. All panels look the same.

TUNABLE ACOUSTICAL PANELSThe revolutionary acoustical panel that removes compromise from any room.

How do you create the optimal acoustical space for band and choral rehearsal in the same room with the same acoustical panels? Impossible – until now. Wenger’s new Tunable Panel is an innovative design that adapts its absorption and diffusion capability to create a “flexible” room acoustically. The panel changes as quickly as you can turn a handle. Turn it to the left and the panel becomes an absorber – turn it to the right, and it becomes a diffuser. It takes just seconds, so you can tune your room between periods or after school, or whenever your students rehearse. The exterior shape of the panel always stays the same, providing a clean, professional appearance.

Now you can turn your rehearsal room into a flexible space without sacrificing the acoustics. No more scheduling conflicts for rehearsal spaces. Have a shared rehearsal room for band and choir? Wenger’s Tunable Panel is the perfect solution!

USAGEA panel that can change its acoustic properties with the turn of a lever. Perfect for rehearsal room use where band and choral share a common space through the course of the day.

CONSTRUCTION • Easily accessible and interchangeable for absorption or diffusion• Provides up to 0.8 seconds of change in reverberation time• Allows same room to be used for both choral and instrumental rehearsal• Provides broad range frequency absorption from 125hz to 4000hz• Ideal for music rehearsal rooms, recital halls, and cafetoriums• Face panel is constructed of a curved aluminum microperf panel, wrapped in fabric.• Sides are constructed of aluminum extrusions for durability• Top and bottom panels are constructed of ¾" (2 cm) thick laminated particleboard

with 3mm edgebanding. Available in select woodgrain laminate finishes• 4' x 4' (1.2 m x 1.2 m) stackable design • Panels are available in these configurations: - Absorber/Diffuser (changeable) - Absorber Only - Diffuser Only• Some assembly required• Five-year warranty • Patent pending
