THE BARBER OF BARRHEADRossini revised!February 15-26, 2011A collaboration between Edmonton Opera and Fringe Theatre Adventures takes familyfun from Seville, Spain and into the Alberta Klondike for The Barber of Barrhead.Prospectors seek and lose their fortunes during the Gold Rush, as Figaro, a barberand jack-of-all-trades, endeavours to unite the young Al with his love Rosie,despite the dastardly innkeeper Bart’s devious dealings.

TOSCAPucciniApril 9, 12, 14, 2011A tale of desperate choices embroiled in art and politics concludes the 2010/2011season with Tosca, Puccini’s darkest and most powerful masterpiece. Tosca, a fieryand passionate diva, struggles over whether to surrender to Rome’s brutal Chief ofPolice to save the man she loves.
