Conventional Gas Detection Modules

The modules available are:

1. Systems module – Two types are available to suit most applications.

i. Standard S12 for larger panels.

ii. Medium Duty S14 when no sprinklers are used

2. Gas detection module, single channel – occupies one slot.

3. Gas detection module, twin channel – occupies one slot.

4. Tank Monitoring module—occupies one slot and monitors the Gas Panel asso-

ciated with one Tank. Up to eight Tank modules may be fitted into one system.

5. Mimic modules. Various to suit application.

6. Various Gas Sensors for both Flammable and Carbon Monoxide Gases.

Two Zone Gas Module

The Two Zone Gas Module monitors two separate circuits of gasdetectors. All voltages gains etc are individually set to each chan-nel.

It Monitors and controls:

1. Two Gas detection Sensors.

2. Indicates % Lower Explosive Limit—LEL separately for eachchannel in individual 7 segment LED displays.

3. Push button provided to allow isolation of the zone duringmaintenance.

4. A test facility is provided to show the alarm levels which arepreset. These levels may be adjusted but are factory set at 15and 30% LEL.

Single Zone Gas Module

The Single Zone Gas Module is simple a module equipped with half thecircuitry of the two zone gas module.

A brief description of each is listed below to assist customers in selecting the products best suitedto the application. All products are designed and built by our own engineers in the UK. EDS panelsgive the most cost effective solution to the all building requirements.

Modules include:

S12 Systems Module

The S12 Systems Module is suitable for smaller gas detec-tion systems with up to 6 gas ones. It Monitors and controls:

1. The connected gas modules for both alarm and fault.

2. The both the Mains and Battery supply is monitored.

3. Battery charging.

4. Sprinkler System is both monitored and controlled.

The sprinklers may be activated by on module switches.

5. The Gas supply is monitored for correct pressure andmay be turned off by switch activation. Both sprinkler andgas solenoids are reversed by a sensor detecting gas.

Tank Module

The Tank Module is usually used on larger systems with more than one tank.

It Monitors and controls:

1. One Tank Gas detection Sensor.

2. Gas Pressure

3. Gas ON—OFF Manual Control

4. Both Gas % LEL and Tank Fill % Level is displayed on Seven segment displays.

The Panel interfaces with 1 to 48 conventional sensors and or Addressable sensors to a total of 127devices.

These detectors can be either conventional type OR analogue addressable type up to a total of 127zones.

The conventional sensors are connected back to the panel with a 3 core cable to each. Addressablesensors are with a 4 wire that carries both power and data to and from the sensors.

Three Addressable lines each with a maximum of 48 sensors / devices may be connected.

Optional devices such as Addressable Solenoid and Relay panels may be addressed and controlled bythe programmable logic.

PANEL

Sounder and Beacon Drive are provided as standard for general building alarm along with controls forsprinkler monitoring and gas supply control.

Arrangement Conventional AND addressable zones may be interlaced on the Panel by simply program-ming on site using standard Sigo PC

Logic The operation of inputs can cause outputs to operate to suit theSite requirements. See sample Program supplied in standardExcel Format.

Outputs Relay modules. Any slot may be fitted with a Relay module rated at1A 60V DC.Solenoid modules. Any slot may be fitted with a Solenoid driverModule for 24V DC 18W gas relays. Solenoids can be normallyenergised or normally energised.
