EAR REFLEXOLOGY By massaging the different parts of the ear with

the fingers we will stimulate the reflex point connected to different body parts. Oriental

Medicine is based on the circulation of

electro-magnetic (E.M.) energy

called Chi (Qi)

Page 3: Ear reflexology self-massage

How it WorksThese vessels are called meridians, pathways

of E.M. energy. These meridians connect directly to the Ear like telephone lines.

Imagine the ear is a satellite dish and the Acu-points are like television sets connected to separate programming feeding from the

different body parts.

EAR REFLEXOLOGY is Ear Acu-point Pressure

Ear Reflexology with finger tips is one of preferred methods. Using the index finger to locate tender points or pre-selected points press in a clockwise motion gradually harder and harder until a sensation of heat or discomfort.

Page 21: Ear reflexology self-massage

Fingernail Alternative

Alternative method using thumbnail on acu-point on front of ear and index fingernail on back of ear, Squeezing each point 30-60 times. If you have strong constitution or excess condition the more frequently and harder you want to press. For weak constitution and deficiency condition the fewer times you want to press.

Page 22: Ear reflexology self-massage

Direct Acu-point Pressure

This technique is great for relieving pain, indigestion, preserving health, and preventing disease. This method is also suitable for infants, children and sensitive patients.

Page 23: Ear reflexology self-massage

Bare Ear SwabTake an ear swab and remove the tip or cut in half. Use the bare tip to find the tender points in Cymba Concha, Cavum Concha, etc. or any points that are tender. Then with increasingly harder pressure press for 1-2 minutes until you have the sensation of heat or pain in the local area.

Piezo Quartz PenElectrical Stimulation of Acu-point.

Tip of Pen can be used to locate sensitive points. Once point is located. Activate pen by clicking 20 times in each point 3 times per day.

Ear Acu-Magnetic Therapy

Using magnetic therapy in the ear was used by the Chinese as early as the Ming Dynasty. It was used for deafness, relief of pain and

itching, insomnia, asthma, and nervous disorders. Modern Chinese have used ear

magnetic therapy successfully in 60% of cases for many types of dermatitis, pain, inflammation, abdominal diseases and addictions with another 30% having a

positive effect.

Page 26: Ear reflexology self-massage

Ear Reflex Acu-PointsThere are over 200 acupuncture points in

the ear. Each acu-points leads to a region of the body through a pathway of energy that circulates electro-magnetic energy in the body.

Page 27: Ear reflexology self-massage

Ear Magnet ReflexologyThere are specific sites in the ear that suppress desire for nicotine, appetite and alleviate anxiety. We use 5000 gauss magnets to create acupressure on specific acu-points. To create the magnetic field we place a pair of magnets on either side of the acu-point. This will affect points close in proximity which has a beneficial effect.

Page 28: Ear reflexology self-massage

Ear Acu-Magnet Treatments

The diagrams show regions for the areas where you will place the magnets. Wear the magnets 30-60 minutes daily. You will vary the points even though there may be three or more points listed. One ear is usually more sensitive than the other so we will use both ears for treatment. Try two magnets in each ear. It is suggested that you use no more than four points each day. Treatment lasts for six weeks. Take two weeks off and then repeat until desired result.
