The advice, keywords, and industry information provided remain accurate and up to date, and the resumes themselves remain excellent examples that illustrate the key strategies we share in this training program. However, as you view the samples, keep in mind the following guidelines that apply for resumes today and may be slightly different from the examples:

• Resumes are getting shorter, and it is seldom that we write longer than a 2-page resume. Today’s Advice: Write tight, lean, and clean!

• Content must be presented in smaller “bites.” Paragraphs should be no more than 3–4 lines in length, and bullet lists should contain no more than 4–5 items, as a general guideline. Today’s Advice: Tell the whole career story in half the words!
