About BTC We look forward to welcoming you to the BTC to what we trust will be your first steps towards an exciting and profitable career in the Beauty and Holistic Industry.

The BTC is a professional nationally and internationally recognized training Centre that provides beauty and holistic therapy training at a high professional standard.

We cater for all students from beginners to therapists who wish to refresh their skills and add additional qualifications. The training is offered on a one to one basis, or within small groups to ensure that the student always receives individual attention.

The courses are taught by fully qualified and experienced lecturers/practitioners in a friendly and welcoming manner.

The courses cover theory and practical knowledge aided by an electronic colour training manual with advice and support at hand at all times.

BTC aim is to teach and support a student to gain knowledge and confidence to become an excellent professional beauty or holistic therapist, to be able to work to industry standards.

The BTC is learner centered, exciting, and innovative and guarantees you an exceptionally high standard of training. All the courses are delivered by professional tutors, to class sizes between one and eight and in surroundings that are conducive to learning and promote a realistic working environment.

The BTC is an approved VTCT Centre offering NVQ/VRQ courses and is also accredited by Professional Beauty and are recognized by leading Industry Insurance Companies. The BTC Diplomas/Certificates are awarded on successful completion of your course which will enable you to gain insurance and to commence work suitably qualified in the public sector.

The BTC embraces the principles of continuing Professional Development (CPD) and all of the practitioner courses are structured to offer CPD points to students, which will assist you to identify the skills and knowledge needed to enhance your career.

Distance learning courses are also available which give flexibility of studying. These courses give you a valuable insight into the different subjects which could later assist you in further studies/employment.

Distance Learning Courses

Distance learning courses are also available which give flexibility of studying. These courses can give you a valuable insight into different subjects which could later assist you in further studies/employment.

After payment has been received by BTC and cleared, you will receive your course paperwork via email. Once the course work has been completed, you will email it back to the Centre for marking and you will receive feedback. At the end of the course you will sit an online exam which will test your knowledge of the subject. The qualification will be awarded on satisfactory completion. The duration of the course is dependent upon you.

Application and Booking Terms and Conditions

Booking Terms

1. The minimum age for entry is 16 years (there is no upper age limit)

2. No previous experience is required on most courses but please check the

pre-requisites for each course, however a good general education is essential

and you must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

3. Please contact the training Centre regarding course dates.

4. In order to apply for a place on one of our courses, please complete an

application form and send it to the Training Centre. The Training Centre will

contact you and send you a reservation form and student handbook. Full

payment or deposit will then need to be paid. Please note that payments are

non-refundable but may be re-applied to another commencement date, if notice

of at least 3 days given to the Training Centre subject to an emergency situation.

Once payment has been received by the Training Centre and cleared you will

receive a confirmation letter with your training manual via email.

5. Payment may be made by card payment over the phone or in person (no

extra charge for debit card but 1.5% charge will be added for payment on

credit card) cash or BAC S.

6. Cancellation of any course is required at least 3 weeks prior to the course

commencing. We suggest you telephone the Centre to confirm that we have

received the cancellation letter. (You may re-book the course at a later date)

7. It may be necessary for the Centre to cancel or re-schedule the course due

to unforeseen circumstances; if this occasion should arise, an alternative date

will be given. If the date offered is unsuitable, the Centre will refund any fees

paid.

8. In the event of a student failing to attend or complete a course or

assessment, for any reason, no refunds will be made by the BTC although

a later course date may be arranged if the next course is not already booked.

It may be necessary for the student to pay an additional fee for a missed

assessment to take place.

9. Course fees include tuition, training materials, resources and electronic

manuals as deemed appropriate by the BTC for each course. Water will also

be provided during attendance at the Centre. Any other items, facilities or

resources supplied by the BTC at the request of the student, which the BTC

does not deem to be included in its advertised course fee, will be charged at

an additional cost to be met by the student at the time of the request.

10. Course fees do not include additional items where required, such as

Student work wear and practical items such as beauty/holistic kits for home

practice or text books. These items are an additional expense to be met by

the student. Kits may be purchased from the Centre which may also provide

information for purchase of other items from wholesalers.

11. The BTC reserves the right to alter the course venue and timetable at

any time, but notice will be given.

12. The BTC reserves the right to decline applications.

13. It is acknowledged that all intellectual property rights, including copyright,

patents, design rights and know how in or relating to the course or course

materials provided or made available in connection with the course, remain

the sole property of the BTC. No copies of course materials or any usage of or

reference to the BTC name may be made unless it has been agreed in writing

in writing by the BTC.

14. All students are required to observe and abide by all policies regarding

health and safety, security, student conduct and any other regulations as

set out by the BTC.

15. It is the course applicant’s responsibility, having referred to relevant

sources of course information, to ensure that the course in all of its aspects is

suitable for her/his requirements, and that they are able to commit to all

course dates prior to the course commencing. The BTC is happy to provide

advice but accepts no liability in the event that the content of the course, any

changes to course timetables, structure or cancellation where necessary does

not meet individual requirements. Once an application has been received and

processed by the BTC and a course place allocated, the applicant will be

subject to and in agreement with all conditions as set out herein by the BTC. The terms and conditions set out herein are a complete statement of the

agreement between the course applicant and the BTC and supersede all

discussions, correspondence and representations made prior to the date of

booking. In order to avoid disappointment, we recommend early reservation

as the courses are in demand and places are limited.
