February 16th, 2017Honda of Canada ManufacturingNew Tecumseth, ON L9R 1V4

Dear Head Office,

I am writing to you regarding my interest for a position at Honda of Canada Manufacturing. I came across this opportunity in a networking event at Humber College. I will be graduating as an Automation Technologist shortly and I’m looking to commit to a long-term career.

I am currently in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology Robotics and Automations at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. My specializations include; PLC programming, electrical wiring/ troubleshooting, AutoCad electrical/ mechanical, SOLIDWORKS 3D, robotic programming/ debugging, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic theory/ application, micro computer based automation, designing, programming Arduinos and C++ programming, motor theory, and industrial safety standards. I am an active student spending most of my time in the robotics or prototypes lab. I was involved in Humber Skills Team Competitions where I practiced the mechanical, electrical and programming aspects of building a robotic cell. It gave me hands on experience with tools under pressure and a familiarity to a set of rules called professional practice.

I have good communications skills, both vocally and written. I am able to work under pressure efficiently. Self-discipline is my personal principal which helps me focus on maintaining my progress. I am highly motivated and a quick learner.

I believe that I could be a useful member of your team at Honda of Canada Manufacturing. I am hopeful to hear from you. My resume is included for your review. I am available for interview at your convenience. Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely,

Delun Li
