About the Cambridge English: First Speaking test

The Speaking test is 14 minutes long and consists of four parts.

The standard test format is two candidates and two examiners. One examiner (the interlocutor) will speak to you and your partner and the other (the assessor) will be listening.

Part 1 (2 minutes)The interlocutor asks you and your partner questions about yourselves. You may be asked about things like your home town, your interests, your studies, etc.

Part 2 (4 minutes)The interlocutor gives you two photographs and asks you to talk about them for 1 minute. The interlocutor then asks your partner a question about your photographs and your partner responds briefly (up to 30 seconds).

Then the interlocutor gives your partner two different photographs. Your partner talks about these photographs for 1 minute. This time the interlocutor asks you a question about your partner’s photographs and you respond briefly (up to 30 seconds).

How Important is it to help people in these situations

• In the first picture, I see a sport’ man, a footballer and somebody I think he has a cramp or something helps him.

• In the second picture there is a policeman and the lady I think she asks for the directions because she is confusing in the city she is new or a tourist

How Important is it to help people in these situations

• I think both are very important persons because one has, in the first picture he has pain and in the second she needs help as well so I think that both are very important persons for the people in each situation

• I think I would prefer to help who make some sports because I like sports and it is really interesting to see other people……..Thank you
