About us

Dudek Paragliders exists since 1995. It was founded by Piotr Dudek,Wojciech Domañski and Dariusz Filipowicz.

We believe that the key to our success lies in close co-operation with pilots.Our team consists of gifted flyers and experienced competitors who testthe wings in all possible conditions. In addition all paragliders are testedin accordance with current European norm EN 926-1 and EN 926-2.

Design

As we all know, world is constantly progressing. Paragliding is no different.

A modern three-dimensional design is possible only with computer assistance. Hence widespread use of CAD (ComputerAided Design) programs. There is a lot of other software, too – specialized in calculating aerodynamic forces or pressuredistribution. A good program can give you thorough aerodynamic analysis of the entire body.

But there is also something that you can't substitute with even best software: experience, something our designer PiotrDudek has vast amounts of. He is one of the paragliding pioneers, designing his own wings for twenty years already.

CSG – Canopy Shape Guard – is our unique system controlling canopy coherence.It is because of this system that our wings are equally tensioned, smooth,stable and... simply remarkable.CSG consists of a number of lesser systems:

VS – V-shaped Supports. They are there to ensure upper surface smoothness, exact aerofoilreproduction on entire wing span, better load distribution and possible small number ofsuspension points.

RSS – Reinforcing Strap System. An independent reinforcements net on lower surface,strengthening and stiffening all construction.

OCD – Optimized Crossports Design. The intercellar openings have carefully designed shapesand are optimally placed between stress lines in the ribs, in order to ensure efficient pressuredistribution in the canopy and its quick inflation.

CCS – Closed Cell Structure. This is a number of closed cells in most important locations.It's goal is to hinder the backflow from the cells out and thus to facilitate their refilling and canopyrecovery in case of a collapse.

Canopies marked with this symbol demonstrate exceptionally stable flightat high speeds. Due to extensive research, many tests, sophisticatedsoftware and rich experience we were able to blend inner reinforcements

structure with shape of panels stretching aerodynamical edges and surfaces into one harmoniouswhole. Flying such paraglider sets you free – you can fully open trims, step on the speed bar andenjoy fast ride without restraints. Irrelevant if you are flying 40 or 60 km/h the canopy is alwaysrigid, stable and cuts through the air without quivering, perfectly sticking to preset flight path.

Concepts

DRA – Dudek Reflex Airfoil. Applied in PPG wings fully autostabilised arofoil, based on long years of research and experience. In our variant we managed to get ridof typical flaws associated with these aerofoils.

ELR – Easy Launch Riser. Split 'A' riser makes for easier launch and 'big ears'.

EK – Easy Keeper. Indigenous way to hold the brake handles at the risers that keepsthem firmly in place, while both attaching and releasing goes smoothly and easily.

TST – Tip Steering Toggles. Our newest idea, featuring additional miniature handles thatsteer the stabilizers. It is a great improvement on long flights, when opened trimmers andfull speedbar make steering much harder.

Trim – additional trimmer system allowing for extra Angle of Attack regulation.

CS – cleaning slots. Located at the wing tips make removal of dirt a way easier.

DOA – Dudek Optimized Airfoil. It incorporates all our experiences stemming form previous designs andas a special feature is optimized with dedicated engineering software.

TCT – Triple Comfort Toggles. An easy conversion from hard through medium to softbrake handles.

ALC – allows for aggressive, yet effortless, turns on full speed without influencing its reflexaerofoil. The new steering component is a red ball, easily positioned to fit various harnesshang-points and personal preferences.

TEA – Torque Effect Adjuster. The task of this feature is to counteract the effect of enginetorque, that tends to make the paraglider turn in the direction opposite to the propeller'srotation.

ACS – Auto Cleaning Slots. Dedicated slots automatica lly removing dirt from the wing tips.

SCT – Sport Comfort Toggles. Sport brake handle is produced in soft versiononly (neoprene).

We are constantly striving for betterment. We are improving both production process & technologies usedand investing in state-of-the-art equipment, not to mention careful selection and education of our personnel.

Another example of our dedication is research on new solutions improving paragliders safety and performance.This work is done in close cooperation with scientific institutions and laboratories. Recently together with Universityof Lausanne and Air Turquoise laboratory we've introduced invented by us system monitoring exact in-flight forceson individual risers. Such examination can determine the degree of aerofoil 'reflexivity', crucial to passive safetyfactor in modern PPG wings.

Material

Any material used must conform to stern European Norm.

Each fabric has its own unique qualities. We have composed them so that with their interplay our paragliders createa harmonious blend.

2 2• upper surfaces are mostly made of Porcher Skytex Evolution fabric (40 g/m and 45 g/m ). It's a nylon material coveredwith superb E85A impregnate. It is not very stiff and - what's most important – has increased tear, stretch and UVresistance. It is not siliconised, so minor repairs can be easily made with self-adhesive strips.

• lower surfaces are mostly made of Skytex Classic (40 g/m ), as this fabric has a great weight/resistance ratio. In our lightmountain paragliders it is Skytex Classic of 36 and 27 g/m weight.

• ribs must be as rigid and stretch-resistant as possible. We found these qualities in Skytex 40 Hard with E29Aimpregnate. All reinforcements are made of SR Scrim fabric, 180 g/m .

All seams are made with Coats threads.

All suspension lines come from renowned Cousin and Edelrid companies.

Risers are made of proven technical webbing made by Polish Pasamon company.

We use the best in our opinion parts from Peguet, AustriAlpin, Harken and SupAir.

Technical inspection and service

Before any glider leaves our plant, it is thoroughly inspected.Afterwards they are controlled too, during periodic full inspectionsor after major repairs (there is porosity test as well as lines, fabric and seams strength test).

All repairs have highest priority and are performed immediately upon receiving gear.

AeroCasco

Purchase of a new paraglider is a seriousexpense for any pilot. That is why we cover ourparagliders with extensive warranties andadditionally offer an AeroCasco insurance againstdamage and repair costs.

Warranty

Dudek Paragliders guarantees free of charge repairscaused by the material or production faults alongfollowing scheme:

For the free-flying paragliders warrantycovers 36 months (3 years) or 300 flighthours (depending on what comes first).If the paraglider is used for powered flights,every hour spent in the air should be countedas two (does not apply to dedicated PPGcanopies).

For the PPG paragliders warranty covers 24months (2 years) or 200 flight hours (dependingon what comes first).

For the mountaineering (MPG) and speedflyingwings as well as school and profit users warrantycovers 18 months (1.5 year) or 150 flight hours(depending on what comes first).

Standard warranty does not cover repair of damagescaused by the user or a third party. As costs of such repairscan be considerable, Dudek Paragliding offers an optionalAeroCasco insurance. It covers a one time repair of allmechanical damage, no matter how big, caused by the useror a third party.

ATAK a competition paraglider

You love racing. You are eager to compete with the best. You fly a lot and can master active steering of a high aspect ratio wings.Your only wish is that they were a bit more stable on speed, even as it is rather impossible.

Well, truly there are no miracles, but Atak has everything that could have been achieved.You will be pleasantly surprised with its stability on full speed glides and in turbulent thermals.

Atak was designed for experienced competition pilots.

Atak features unique combination of high-speed stability with great performance at trim speed. Moreover there are severaldetails that will facilitate everyday use – for example differently coloured stabilo lines (they will be easier to find whencoping with a cravatte, so that you won't be slowing down the entire wing with a brake). There are valves in the stabilostoo, diminishing probability of a cravatte and automatically getting rid of dirt from inside the wing.

Atak is equipped with a trim system with unsurpassed effectiveness, radically changing the wing's nature. With trims closedit is soft and sensitive, performing great in weak thermals, while with trims open it becomes tough, hardly affected byturbulences and collapses. Irrelevant of trim setting, Atak always retains a tendency to auto-center encountered thermals.Wing-overs are very dynamic, given very efficient brakes with short travel. Maximum speed (open trims + full speedbar)amounts to 60 km/h, while the canopy remains very stable. The only FULL REFLEX paraglider certified as EN C, with and without accelerator!

Whether you are an experienced PPG flyer or you are just learning it, you know for sure that motorised flying is your province. You arelooking for an agile and easy wing, that will carry you around safely and quickly. Mostly you will be just enjoying your time, but youare not ruling out occasional competing. REACTION TST – a professional tool for the demanding pilot

You have already tried paramotoring and you know it is your game. Casual local flights are not enough for you – you like to see yourname on the winner's rostrum :) You want to explore new horizons, fly over difficult terrain and in varied conditions. You are notafraid of thermal flying, you like flying to the limit (full throttle + full speedbar). As you are not looking for any compromises,you really need the best wing in the world, the wing used by most of the top-placed pilots...

Then there's nothing better for you than the Reaction. This wing will help you realise your full potential.

Reaction TST is a successor of Action and Reaction. It is a bit faster, easier at launch and has several improvementsthat make the wing more durable and user-friendly. The aerofoil and trailing edge have been tuned, the ribs andsuspension points have been strengthened. Placement and shapes of rib slots have been altered, so it takesmore to damage a rib now. The risers have been otpimized too.

Reaction has an AFNOR Performance certificate. Reaction Sport (with unsheathed lines) is an official wingof Polish PPG National Team. For years it has been winning top places in international competitions,as well as several world records.

You've been flying paramotors for some time now. You know and appreciate performance & safety qualities of reflex profile wings.Even if you just fly as an amateur, you are willing to try something more than para-parking in the vicinity of the landing field. Long,lonely routes are as attractive as your wish to compare yourself against world's best pilots in international competition or trying toestablish some new record. You are not afraid of flying in strong thermals, and agility tasks close to the ground are fun too.

What you need is a top-drawer paraglider; a canopy that will be safe and stable both at top and low speeds, with efficient trimmersand speed systems (each of them increasing your speed over 10 km/h), sensitive controls capable of rapid 180's even when you arestorming over 50 km/h with 30 m2 of cloth over your head. On top of that it has to be robust, so that high loads connected withaggressive PPG flying will not deform your wing after the first 150 hours.

The Nucleon is an Action/ReAction class paraglider, yet designed around a different idea (proven in Synthesis and Plasma). The new conceptassumes linear characteristics of acceleration (equally shared between trims and speed system) and limited reflexivity at slow trim settings.It is accompanied by a number of new features, intensively tested since 2007 and introduced to mass production for the first time.

Plasma – top performance PPG wing

Plasma is a reflex-aerofoil paraglider for experienced pilots looking for extreme performance. We put a lot of work intoits passive security, so that Plasma won't be much different from our other reflex wings in behaviour. Despite its higheraspect ratio and shorter brake travel pilots of advanced free-flying wings won't be much troubled with its handling,only people flying so far classic (i.e. non-reflex) PPG wings will have to get used to it.Plasma is destined for exceptional and demanding pilots, so it will be manufactured in short batches.In this way we will be able to collect and incorporate experiences and suggestions from its users,constantly improving already impressive wing performance.Due to such premises Plasma will not be certified.

You are keen PPG pilot, but since you dislike running at take-off or landing you prefer to fly trikes. Still, time to time you want to share yourpleasures with someone else – and as there is little fun in cumbersome powered parachutes, you are ready to put some running exercise intotake-off. You have tried both tandem and trike flying with different canopies: some were too difficult at launch, some were flying too slow andsome were simply too big. In addition, not a single one gave you feeling of security in turbulences. So, what you need is a fast and agileparaglider, with possibly easy launch and pleasant handling, equipped with a trimmer set that will present you a broad range of usable speeds.It has to be comfortable and safe in all conditions & speed configurations.

These requirements amount to a sporty flying cabrio. And fortunately we have one for you: it's a Synthesis Cabrio, relatively new paraglider with itsreliability already proven with first non-stop flight over Baltic Sea, Poland to Sweden.

An all-round PPG paraglider for trike and tandem flying

Synthesis Cabrio is a reworked, enlarged and tuned to its specific needs version of a standard Synthesis. With the same outline it has four cells more,strengthened construction and accordingly changed rigging. Additional V-shaped mylar reinforcements guarantee exceptional durability and precisereproduction of planned aerofoil.

Synthesis Cabrio is an agile wing. Launching is easy, given that proper technique and trim setting is observed. With right configuration pulling A risers canbe not necessary during launch (the wing rises on its own), a feature highly valued by trike pilots. Another highlight is Cabrio's wide speedrange on trimmers. This is of special importance to trike and tandem pilots, as they have no possibility to operate speedbar.

Everybody will be satisfied with Cabrio's high maximum speed, offering a lot of fun overtaking other pilots and impressiveease of covering long distances. Reflex profile and carefully designed rigging make for comfortable flight even in hardthermal conditions. And there is a TST system, offering good steering control at high speeds.

Mountains, clear air, snow and speed – that's your realm. Your thoughts wander aroundnew sports – speedriding or speedflying, that will allow you to combine your skiing skillswith paragliding-like experience. And once we are there, perhaps you would like to checkyourself at groundhandling, so that real paragliding will be easier to learn, too?Then all you want is Zakospeed!

ZakoSpeed is Dudek Paragliders' answer to new, trendy sports of speedriding & speedflying,as well as need of groundhandling exercises. There is a light version of it too, conforming to lightmountain wings standards.

It is not a full-grown paraglider, so ZakoSpeed must not be used for altitude or aerobatic flying.It is a versatile wing, yet we've introduced several types of it, more suitable to specific needs.

A & B and C & D rows are gathered into two main suspension lines rows. This simple organizationallows for simplified double risers too, making frontal collapses at launch impossible.

In order to increase user's comfort we've employed our proven TCT (Triple Comfort Toggle) system.

You are learning to fly at a paragliding course, but there is much waiting for proper weather conditions.With too much wind you can't control your paraglider, pulling you up and around. The instructor has to calla break since it's no good neither for you nor the canopy.

If only the winds were lighter... but there is nothing you can do about that. Or is it? What if you could find a muchsmaller wing, behaving much as a standard one, yet safe to launch in these conditions? And not causing sucha stress when dragged through pools and mud nearby?

We have such a wing for you and your instructor. It's called – a dedicated training wing.MARLIN

Marlin is a small training wing dedicated exclusively for ground handling exercises. You shouldn't fly this wing,much less doing any aerobatics.

2Due to its small area (12 m ) Marlin stays remarkably calm in thermal gusts, so you don't need any specialassistance while training launches in strong conditions. You can safely go exercising even at a 12 m/s wind,so the effectivity of training launches is increased up to 30%, depending on local weather conditions.

The Marlin behaves much as a standard free-flying paraglider, so you can grow correct reflexes with it.Still the wing requires from students proper concentration and right inputs, so the trainees will be able to copewith bigger paragliders almost right away.

Technical details:

ACCESSORIES

The line of GLOBE Special Parachutes comes as a sucessor of long-produced SH-1 and SH-bi.

Outstanding feature of this rescue chute is its exceptionally stable descent. It's weight ranges have been adjusted so thatmaximum sink speed never exceeds 5,5 m/s - something of special importance to PPG flyers. Of course the free-flyers willappreciate comfortable sink speed as well.

GLOBE introduces new geometry of the canopy, andits air permeability is differentiated with several typesof cloth used. Significant modifications went intodeployment bag and outer container.

Test results give us solid grounds to hope that it'sone of the best rescue parachutes on the (nomenomen) globe, offering comfortable ride in theotherwise very uncomfortable situation of savingone's ass.....

Rescue Parachutes

FRONT CONTAINER, NEW MODEL with neoprene

The container is attached to harness in two points plus additional possibility of clipping it tothe breast strap. It can be fixed to any harness, both free-flying and PPG dedicated. Its topsurface is covered with 10 cm wide velcro strap, creating a comfortable place for theinstruments (GPS, vario etc). There is also a small, zipped pocket on the back side.

Recently we've designed an external case for Globe rescue chute, optimised for usewith PPG harnesses.

Features:• Universal assembly. With four prepared points it can be fixed to any side of the

harness or in front of the pilot.• Total freedom of pulling the handle. Since Globe can be installed in any position,

its handle had to be designed as fullyoperational irrelevant of the pull direction.

• Base of the handle, covering the pins, is fixed in special braces, thus minimizingchances of accidental release (through catching some lines etc)

• Easy V-risers connection. It is not necessary to touch the pins at all. The bridleincluding V-risers (if it is too long) can be stored under side flap of the case,closed with velcro strap.

• The bridle is covered with a sheath, protecting it against mechanical damageand excessive temperature caused by friction.

• On the back of the case there is a cache for documents, pin assemblystraps etc.

• Case is designed for Globes 90, 120 and 160

BRONCO AND FISHBED

Top quality harnesses for everyone. High back support and deep seating allow for good comfort during longflights. Wide adjustment range make sure that harness will fit any pilot. Made of cutting edge materials withhighest precision possible - not a common feature of other harness brands. Back and side protectors keep pilotsafe, while back and side pockets keep him happy with all the food and gadgets he can carry. Equipped withfloating seat plate, making launch preparations and take-off run much easier. Automatic Safe-T-System locksguarantee that no one will fall out of the harness due to unclipped leg straps.

Rescue chute front container is attached to the harness with two buckles. Its top surface is covered with velcrostrap, creating a comfortable place for the instruments (GPS, vario etc). Front container configuration is anexcellent option for PPG pilots too, as it is easy to fix on any PPG harness.
