WHERE?

HEAVEN SENT FOOD &

FIBERHeaven Sent Food & Fiber is a diversified, sustainable family farm in Cherokee County, providing hand-dyed and natural-color wool yarn from their flock of merino sheep and alpacas, meat from their cows, pastured pigs, lambs and goats, vegetables, and honey, as well as hand-crafted goat milk soap to area community supported agriculture customers, farmers' markets and retail outlets.

PERRY DOGS

Perry Dogs is a small but growing company focused on good food at reasonable prices. Our food truck build hit a snag when we had to rebuild the engine. Now all that remains is interior work and a few pieces of equipment. Most has already been acquired.

Once finished the food truck will be able to provide a wide variety of delicious food at affordable prices to the people of Rogers and Mayes counties. They care about our night shift EMS and Hospital Medical Staff. The need for medics to have a hot lunch near a hospital is what started the business to begin with.

This truck will allow them to offer more variety in more locations to help those that help us.

SARVAM SOLUTIONS, INC.

Sarvam Solutions are giving your pet the opportunity to live a longer, healthier life through the design of specialty antioxidant supplements.

They have developed a product that increases the health span of companion pets by enhancing mitochondrial function within the cell. They have been hired by a pet-supplement company to manufacture their product.

SWEETNESS FACTORY

Sweetness Factory is a cupcakery/bakery that donates ALL of its net proceeds to the Food for Kids programs of Western Oklahoma. The funds received each day, pay for overhead & employees and the rest goes directly to helping fund the backpack programs in schools west, north & south of Hinton. This program provides sustainable foods on the weekends to children who are not being fed or are lacking proper nutrition due to family stresses or neglect.

In the first year of business, Sweetness Factory was able to provide funding for over 25,000 meals for children in need. It is now in its second year and with this grant, Sweetness Factory would like to be able to increase the awareness of its mission and improve its newly launched shipping program.

T & C MEATS

T & C Meats is a startup meat business aimed at providing a modern customer centric shopping environment as well as age old selections to delight the taste buds of their customers.

Using their experience and industry training, they will offer exciting new products and flavors to the marketplace as well as traditional offerings of steaks, chops, roasts, ground beef, bratwurst and various types of sausages.

Their goal is to be open by summer of 2015 and serve the Enid as well as Northwest Oklahoma marketplace.

THE STITCHIN’ SHOP

The Stitchin' Shop has grown from a single needle machine in the back room to two multi-needle machines, a store front, and screen printing!

If awarded the grant, they would use the funds to purchase a newer model used machine as well as additional equipment and software needed to help their business grow.

Their customer base ranges from local and surrounding FFA and 4-H clubs to law enforcement agencies to Masonic Lodges to many of the surrounding schools - as well as local businesses and individuals.
