playing a pivotal role in raising capital for Medical Marijuana Inc. (OTC: MJNA), among several other duties.

• Stuart practiced as a British physiotherapist for fifteen years, running

clinics specializing in pain management and injury rehabilitation.

• Stuart has unique first-hand experience with hemp oil products as

nutritional supplements, having found great relief from Lyme disease symptoms after beginning a regimen of therapeutic high-

concentration CBD hemp products.

Co-Founder and President of Medical Marijuana, Inc.

Intro to Medical Benefits of CBD/Cannabis

Brief History of Cannabis

• Cannabis has been part of human evolution since the beginning of recorded history.

• In ancient Chinese times, cannabis was used as a medicine, including its oils, tinctures and cannabis-based preparations.

• Today’s presentation concerns the recent developments in clinical research regarding the re-establishment of “Cannabis as a Medicine”.

1930’s and Cannabis’ Demise

• Up until the late 1930’s cannabis based medications: oils, tinctures and preparations were routinely used by American doctors and physicians worldwide. The following pictures depict some of the many types of cannabis-based medicinal products that were available.

Hemp vs. Marijuana - Part I (Understanding the Differences)

Hemp

• Tall and lengthy (can grow 10-20 feet high)

• High concentration of CBD (non-psychoactive)

• Around the world, it is grown mostly for fiber, and used in textiles

• Hemp seeds are the seed from the plant known as Cannabis sativa

Marijuana

• Short and bushy (grows about waist high)

• High concentration of THC (psychoactive)

• Grown for psychoactive effect

• No industrial application

Hemp vs. Marijuana - Part II

Hemp

• Hemp food products are fully legal in the USA

• Hemp food products are regularly found in US health food stores

• Hemp seed, hemp oil, hemp protein powder

Marijuana

• Remains illegal at federal level

• 30 US states, plus Washington D.C. legalize for medical purposes

• 17 US states approve CBD forms of marijuana for epilepsy children

• 4 US states + D.C. have legalized for recreational usage

(Understanding the Differences)

What Are Cannabinoids?

• Cannabinoids are special compounds found in the Cannabis plant family, and there are

at least 80, possibly up to 100, known cannabinoids.

• There are nearly 400 other chemical compounds in cannabis that are common to all plants — like chlorophyll, terpenoids, flavonoids and plant waxes.

• Cannabinoids and cannabinoid like compounds are found in a handful of other plants

such as Echinacea, flax, common tea, kava and hops.

• One of these cannabinoid like compounds, called Beta-caryophyllene, is a terpenoid that appears to behave like a cannabinoid in the body. It can be found in dozens of plants consumed every day (black pepper, hops, rosemary, oregano, basil, lavender, cinnamon and more). Beta-caryophyllene exhibits antioxidant properties, partly by acting on the endocannabinoid system.

Cannabinoids Extracts

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

• Our bodies have an entire regulatory system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), or the endogenous cannabinoid system. In fact, this endocannabinoid system is the largest, self regulating system within our bodies. The ECS uses cannabinoids to transmit certain signals and regulate homeostasis within us - it serves to balance our mood, appetite, sleep and hormone production.

• Plant based cannabinoids have analogues in the human body, meaning that our bodies produce cannabinoids too. Our cells have receptor sites for cannabinoids (CB-1 and CB-2, described below), and this helps regulate our immune system.

• The major endogenous cannabinoids are Anandamide (AEA) and 2-AG

• Please see Dr. David Allen's review of the endocannabinoid system here.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

• The CB1 neurotransmitter receptor site in the brain has more

receptor sites than ALL OF THE OTHER neurotransmitter

sites… COMBINED!

• Thus, our bodies are designed to accept plant based

cannabinoids – in fact, these are the foods of our “Biological

Adaptation”.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

Additional Cannabinoid Receptor Sites

• G Protein Coupled Receptor Sites Controls the function of 800 human genes (4% of the entire human genomic sequence)

• Vanilloid Pain Receptor Sites

• Internal Organs, including fat cells of the Liver Controls metabolism

• Also Lungs, Kidneys

• Glands Pituitary, Hypothalamus, Thymus, Thyroid, Adrenal

• The ECS is present from Day 16 of Gestation and regulates the development of the entire Central Nervous System

CB1 Receptors in the Brain

To supplement the LARGEST self-regulatory system within the human body, take plant based phyto-cannabinoids daily!

Endocannabinoid System Facts

Did You Know:

• The "Runner's High" is a phenomena created by production and release of the endogenous cannabinoid, Anandamide, as well as Endorphins - both are "feel good" neurotransmitters. Only Anandamide crosses the blood-brain barrier, thus responsible for the "Runner's High" effect.

• That a mother's breast milk contains significant quantities of cannabinoids

Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome

• First postulated by a Dr. Ethan Russo, a famous cannabis researcher.

• If one is deficient in cannabinoids, one may develop numerous “treatment resistant conditions", such as migraine headache, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome

• Subsequent research has confirmed that underlying endocannabinoid deficiencies indeed play a role in migraine, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome and a growing list of other medical conditions. Clinical experience is bearing this out.

• Further research and, especially, clinical trials will further demonstrate the usefulness of medical cannabis/ medical hemp including non-psychoactive CBD . As legal barriers fall and scientific bias fades this will become more apparent.

• Recently the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has relaxed barriers to CBD research - this as of Dec 23, 2015

The Entourage Effect

• All 500 chemical compounds native in cannabis act synergistically to produce a far greater effect than that of single or double active ingredient extraction.

• Thus, natural, botanical cannabinoids and natural, botanical products may have significantly greater effects for patients than synthetic, pharmaceutical versions.

• An excellent explanation by Dr. Sanjay Gupta may be viewed here.

U.S. Government Patent #6,630,507

• Regarding the therapeutic usage of cannabinoids, titled: Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants

• Patent awarded in 2003 to a team headed by Nobel Prize Winning Laureate, Dr. Julius Axelrod

• Cannabinoids are useful in the treatment of a wide range of oxidative-related conditions such as ischemic, age related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

• In the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), etc.

• Non-psychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidiol (CBD) are particularly advantageous as they avoid toxicity related issues of psychoactive cannabinoids.

Traumatic Brain Injury

• Research from UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California involved 446 young adults who suffered auto accidents and related traumatic brain injury.

• Interestingly, the regular cannabis users among this group of young adults were 80% more likely to survive, presumably because their brain cells had that extra layer of neuroprotection that medical cannabis and CBD can provide.

• Research was published in The American Surgeon

Traumatic Brain Injury

We feel that every young "at-risk-for head-injury" athlete should be taking non-psychoactive plant based cannabinoids -as they provide neuroprotection - in a sense, a second football helmet, that is always with you - to guard against any unforeseen athletic or other head / brain related injury.

Increase in the Occurrence of Neurological Diseases

• We have seen a recent news release from Mayo Clinic researchers (June 21 2016) who had been studying neurological trends for the past 30 years and reported their findings in JAMA Neurology.

• This report cited the significant increase in Parkinson’s disease and “parkinsonism” particularly in men over the age of 70 years. This is the first study to suggest such a trend, according to researchers.

The numbers:

For every 10 calendar years of life:

• Men of all ages have a 17% higher risk of developing “parkinsonism”

and

• Men of all ages have a 24% higher risk of developing Parkinson’s disease

• Dr. Rodolfo Savica, MD, PhD, the study lead author mentions that “we have evidence to suggest that there has been a genuine increase in the risk of Parkinson’s disease.”

A Company of Firsts®

• Medical Marijuana Inc. was the FIRST publicly traded company in the US to engage with the legal cannabis space.

• We created the CBD hemp oil category along with the FIRST pipeline from Europe, and introduced the FIRST natural botanical hemp-based CBD products into US markets.

• We were the FIRST to bring legal cannabis product into Brazil, Puerto Rico (where we now hold 12 product registrations), and now Mexico.

• First in Direct Selling

• We take our place in history very seriously because the path we blazed has revolutionized the way people think about both hemp and cannabis.

• In short: the legal hemp-based CBD industry in the United States did not exist until Medical Marijuana Inc. and our subsidiaries developed it.

World Anti-Doping Standards

• Pure CBD is the first cannabis based product that would qualify under World Anti-Doping Standards in Direct Selling.

• These World Anti-Doping Standards show that 207 compounds are banned.

• Our Pure CBD does not contain or metabolize into ANY of these 207 compounds.

Post-Chemotherapy Dr. Abrams

• Pain, depression, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, sleep

• Can Rx 6 different meds all with varying side effects and potential harmful drug interactions

• Or just Rx Cannabis

• CBD may have a significant role here

Stanford University Study Points to Endocannabinoid Deficiency as Cause of Alzheimer’s

• A new study led by investigators at the Stanford University School of Medicine has implicated the blocking of endocannabinoids — signaling substances that are the brain’s

internal versions of the psychoactive chemicals in marijuana and hashish — in the early pathology of Alzheimer’s disease.

“Great spirits have always encountered

violent opposition from mediocre minds.”

- Albert Einstein

Although preferred by the younger generation for "entertainment" we have seen great anecdotal feedback from the Kannaway Brand Ambassadors.

The Remake of Hemp Vap

It is extremely exciting to show this new product now with:

* 100 mgs CBD in the new cartridge

* Refill cartridges available

* More CBD, More "puff for your buck"

* Potential Health & Wellness Benefits too..!

An often overlooked characteristic of all living humans is that we all breathe and can potentially benefit from this unique "delivery method".

A medical researcher at Temple University mentions that "all pharmaceutical medications should be inhaled by vaporization" as this would not go through the digestive tract. Here, the liver metabolism creates havoc with traditional pharmaceutical medications - thus "unwanted side effects" of many traditional medications.

We are looking at clinical research and development programs with this type of Vaporized delivery - and we look forward to hearing your anecdotal stories of success with patients.

Everyone Breathes

Immediate health and wellness effects can be seen - particularly in terms of relaxation and focus. The lungs have CB1 receptor sites and potential immediate entry into the cardio-pulmonary system may hold future "therapeutic" promise.

Potentially there are benefits for the brain as well, again with the seemingly "immediate uptake".

Our research will show this potential benefit and to this, we have hired a pedigreed pharmaceutical development expert to assist us in better quantifying these health and wellness benefits. We look forward to further presentations to our growing team of Kannaway Brand Ambassadors...!
