WisconsinSingers,UW-Madison’spremierentertainmentcompany,celebratesits50thanniversaryseasonwithit’snewproduction,Can’tStopDancin’!ThisBroadway-caliberrevuewillbeperformingatMarathonHighSchoolonSaturday,February3,2018,at7pm.
Can’tStopDancin’!highlightsAmericanpopmusicfromthepastfivedecades,coveringmorethan40songsfeaturingcaptivatingvocals,stunningchoreography,bigbandsoundandBadgerspiritperformedbyUW’smosttalentedstudents.FromArethaFranklintoDukeEllington,KISStoEltonJohn,PentatonixtoTaylorSwift,andMoanatotheMuppetShow,Can’tStopDancin’!promisesentertainmentformusicloversofeverygenreandgeneration.CoversofBroadwayhitsfromDearEvanHansen,RentandHairspraybalanceoutclassicrock,topfortyandsmoothjazz.WisconsinSingersbandrocksthehousewithatributetoTheBeatlesandalivelymedleyofswingtunes.BadgerfanswillenjoythetributetoUW’sFifthQuartertoo,whereyoucansingalongtoOnWisconsin,dancetoHeyBabyandjamtoTequila.WisconsinSingersalumni,TarasNahirniak(arranger/orchestrations),MichaelStanek(choreographer)andJaradVoss(choreographer)havejoinedthecreativeteamtoproduceanexcitingandfunshowthatpromisestoentertainaudiencesofallages.Youwon’twanttomissthisspectacularcelebrationof50yearsofmusicalexcellence!Areagraduatesareinvolvedintheshowaswell.ReidParks,a2016MarathonGraduate,isaSinger-DancerwiththetroupeandLucasRatanawong,a2017WausauEastgraduate,ispartoftheWisconsinSingers’businessteam.
