KWIK-LOC cable locks and galvanised Cable are the fast & versatile way to hang static loads. Studies have shown installation time can be reduced up to 6 times compared to traditional installs using threaded rod, chain, hanger straps or other cable systems.All KWIK-LOC cable locks incorporate a length of pre-cut cable with a swaged end loop for maximum speed, efficiency and safety.

This light weight system is a major safety improvement in terms of handling and installing on site and reduces OH&S problems when installing in aerial situations when compared to heavy traditional fittings.

KWIC-LOK cable locks and galvanised wire rope are available in numerous configurations forattachment to virtually any type of building structure.

CableGalvanized steel cable supplied by CRH is manufactured to exact standards and statistically tested to verify the breaking strength. Using cable supplied by CRH ensures the safety and integrity of the hanging system.

Looped CableLooped Cable enhances the KWIK-LOC suspensionsystem by the addition of a pre-looped end. Once the wireCable is pulled around the anchor point and through thelooped end of the cable, it is already secured at one end,saving time at the job site. The remaining wire Cable, “thedrop”, is passed through a channel in the KWIK-LOC.

Then the wire Cable is inserted through a fastening point and back up into the second channel of the same cable lock. The locking teeth inside the cable lock engage the wire Cable which secures the equipment in place. The tensioning tool completes the adjustment.

Zinc HousingOne piece die cast Zinc alloy combines major anti-corrosion properties with strength and consistent manufacturing quality.

Locking WedgesAn oil impregnated sintered steel locking wedge is seated in each of two channels. Both wedges incorporate a release pin for easy adjustment. Each wedge makes contact with the cable using serrated teeth. These teeth press onto the cable and spread the load across the length of the wedge, maximizing grip strength.

30040 Zinc Alloy 2.5mm (3/32”) Zip-Clips are suitable for use with single or multi-tiered trapeze systems and in applications supporting such items as 3.2mm (1/8”) cable trays, baskets, water and gas pipes and chilled beams.

The Zip-Clip cable lock combined with cable and uni-strut is an efficient method of constructing a support structure. The Zip-Clip fits inside uni-sturt and has a spring loaded pawl which allows entry and passage of cable through the cable lock. Once engaged by the pawl, the cable is gripped with increasing pressure as the suspended load is increased. To ease adjustment each Zip-Clip cable lock has an integrated release pin to disengage the gripping pawl. To insure the integrity of the suspension system use cable supplied by CRH Australia.

30298 Zinc Alloy The KV bracket enhances the Rize Kwik-Loc suspension system by the addition of an integral bracket, which fastens the cable lock to the duct with sheet metal screws. Once the KV bracket is attached to the equipment, the wire rope “drop” is passed into the entry hole at the top of the bracket, through the cable lock, and out the exit hole at the bottom. The locking teeth inside the cable lock engage the wire rope and secure the ductwork in place. The KV100 Bracket assembly has a working load limit of up to 68kg. Suitable for 2.5mm (3/32”) Wire. Con-Lock

30174 Suspension systems typically use threaded rod with washers and nuts to construct a support structure. Sizing, cutting and assembling the rods to the complementary

parts and fastening them to an anchor point can be very time consuming.

The Con-Lock system is designed for the suspension of all static loads into all concrete types including slagged, cracked, slab and even hollow pot. The Con-Lock is

designed to use a ¼” or 6 mm drill bit. Then tapped into place with a standard hammer, no claw back of the anchor is needed for installation. There is no need for any

other tools.

With a working load limit of 100lbs or 50kgs the con-Lock can be used for most electrical installations.

Kwik-twistWhen preparing to suspend equipment, ductwork or accessories, threaded anchor points are often required. Kwik-Twists from Rize are side or vertical mounted fasteners that provide attachment points for steel threaded rods and other assemblies. There are three variations of Kwik-Twists; one for penetrating and threading into steel, one for wood, and one for concrete. Each Kwik-Twist has a 3/8”-16 threaded hole in the fastener’s hex shaped head. Side mounted Kwik-Twists have the threaded hole perpendicular to the fastener shaft and passing completely through the fastener head. Vertical mounted Kwik-Twists have the threaded hole parallel to the fastener shaft and as deep as the fastener head.

Therefore, Rize has available a tensioning tool for these applications. Made of steel and meant to last, the tensioning tool takes all sizes of Kwik-Locs and up to 3/16 inch cable. As with all Rize products the tensioning tool is guaranteed against initial quality defects. Natural wear and tear on the tool is eventually going to happen. Rize therefore keeps ample stocks of replacement parts available when needed.

LightingThe Kwik-Loc is ideally designed for the installation of all types of lights, from HID’s to fluorescents and Cinematic flood lights. It is the fastest and easiest way to install and adjust all of your lighting suspension requirements.

mechanicalMany mechanical installations lend themselves to being supported using Kwik-Locs. The hangers can be directly fixed onto the services or used to suspend dedicated support systems. A tailor-made solution service available to devise specific solutions for a project.

Typical mechanical applications include – Water pipes, drainage pipes, gas pipes, chill beams, ceiling heating panels and radiant heaters.

DuctworkKwik-Locs are compliant with the recommendations laid down in DW/144 and Smacna. In most cases by actually wrapping the cable around the duct itself, huge savings in materials and time can be made. The result is a reduction in the number of split ring brackets and bearers used and a corresponding increase in productivity. Whether it is hanging a fan coil unit or ductwork, Kwik- Locs offer the right solution.

Typical HVAC applications include – Spiral ducting, oval ducting, rectangular ducting, fan coil units, destratification fans and extraction ductwork.
