Romania is a country located at the crossroads of Central and Southeast-ern Europe, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bor-dering on the Black Sea.

Romania shares a border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine

and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south.

At 238,400 square kilometers (92,000 sq mi), Ro-mania is the ninth largest country of the European Union by area, and has the seventh largest popu-lation of the European Union with over 19 million people. Its capital and largest city is Bucharest, the tenth largest city in the EU with about two mil-lion people.

Bukovina the land of painted monasteries, im-presssive natural landscapes, ancient traditions, commonsense and hospitality. Small churches or true fortresses, haughty or humble, located in places of mystery amplify the charm of the landscape-mild dummits, old forests and quiet valleys.

Suceava is the county residence and at the same time it’s the biggest city. Is one of the oldest and most important settlements in the country. For two cen-turies it was the main residence of Moldova , and in the period 1775– 1918 it was, in Bukovina a city of the Austro Hungarian Empire. Suceava is located in the north– eastern part of Romania, being bild on two

Situated in the heart of Oriental Carpatthians, in the de-pression passage, at altitude of 802 m, the resort Vatra Dornei is the intersection of important travel ways which connect Bukovina and Transylvania, or Bukovina and Moldova. It is located at the confluence of the Golden Bistrita, wich is the main affluent—Dorna being bordered by summits of the Montains Giumalau, Suhard and Cali-mani.

Dorna` Basin became famous as a balneary resort as far back as the se-cond half of XVIII th century when mineral waters from this part of the Hapsburg Empire (Vatra Dornei, Candreni , Saru Dornei) had been studied by Hacquette de Nurnberg. A new step in the development of the resort begun in 1883 together with rehabili-tation and modernization of the baths and of 7 new mineral waters spring. In 1895 following audiences of the mayor

Vasile Deac at the Imperial Court begun the construction of a series of new buildings

as a nucleus of the modern development of the spa(Baneary Establishment, The Casino, The Communal Palace, Sen-tinela Spring). After 1900 the the population reached

5000 inhabitants and on 17.12.1907 the locality was declarated city of the Austro

Hungarian Empire.

Worcester is primarily white sports town. Ski and sled for competitions and

recreational receive each year thousands of tourists from the country but also abroad, as well as amateur athletes.
