The TTC Summer Camps Silent Auction will be conducted from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in the largest building on Trident Technical College’s Main Campus, The College Center. Over 100 items will be displayed and available to be bid on by Trident Technical College’s students, faculty and staff as well as the general public. As of fall 2014, TTC’s student enrollment was 16,136 with 758 full-time faculty and staff members.
100 percent of the proceeds raised go to the TTC Summer Camps Scholarship Fund managed by the Trident Technical College Foundation. Funds will be made available to local youth so they can attend TTC summer camps through its Kids’ College and Teen University programs. Tuition for a weeklong TTC summer camp ranges from $99 to $249. Summer camps are available in subject areas including leadership skills, young professionals, computer technology, college prep, creative arts, culinary and pastry, and math and science. Registrations for the 2015 summer camps reached over 2,000 with camps held in downtown Charleston, North Charleston, Moncks Corner, Mount Pleasant, Hollywood and St. George.
The Trident Technical College Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is currently seeking donations for the silent auction from businesses, organizations and individuals who sell goods and/or provide services that would be of interest to the students, faculty and staff of Trident Technical College. Donations may come in the form of gift certificates or actual products. All donors will be listed on the auction page of the website and will be mentioned in various email newsletters and social media posts on the division’s Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.
