The Mount Pleasant Chicken Nugget Experiment

My name is Trevor Smith and I love chicken nuggets!

In this science project we will be testing which fast food restaurant has the best chicken nuggets as tasted by Mount Pleasant kids. We will select my top 5 favorite fast food restaurants and 6 of my friends. We will do a blind taste test with each restaurant’s chicken nuggets and my friends rating the nuggets on a 5 point taste scale. The nuggets with the highest overall score will win.

Project Explanation

Question/Hypothesis

•Which fast food restaurant has the best chicken nuggets as chosen by Mount Pleasant kids?

•I believe that Chick-fil-A will have the best nuggets!

Variables

•Manipulated/Independent: Chicken Nuggets

•Responding/Dependent: My 6 Friends

•Controlled: My 6 friends will be tasting the nuggets at the same time, same place, under the same conditions.

The Experiment

•We got all of the nuggets- 30 total(6nuggets, 5places) •We cut all the nuggets the same shape•We re-heated them a little bit•We mixed up the nuggets •We had them taste a nugget•We asked them a question?
