TECHNOLOGY TOOLS ASSESSMENT

This assessment provides a snapshot of my personal evaluation of eight

different technology tools and their potential value in an educational

setting.

Evaluation Criteria

1. EASE OF USE – I was able to use tool immediately without having to spend too much time with a tutorial.

2. TRUE EDUCATIONAL VALUE – Student learning will definitely be enhanced with the use of this tool.

3. FUN TO USE – In my humble opinion, #’s 1 and 2 are of no use if 3 is not true!

A "5” rating = Would DEFINITELY use this tool as an educator A "1" rating = Would definitely NOT use this tool as an educator.

MOODLE

A Course Management System designed to help educators create online courses with opportunities for rich interaction. - Moodle.org

1 Site not appealing to the eye. Seems to be too much to see on one screen at one time. Would not be the course management system of my choice. Would prefer Tapiohka.

Delicious

A FREE social bookmarking service that allows users to tag, save, manage and share web pages from a centralized source. With emphasis on the power of the community, - Delicious.com

A great way to keep bookmarks organized and at your fingertips. Never loose a site on the web again. I would highly recommend this site to everyone I know.
