The toads would give you warts, the moss would provide directions and the daddy-long legs would be deadly. We’ll find out what is myth and what is fact. We’ll use nets, scopes, binoculars and more to find and observe many of the fascinating creatures that make their home in the park. Bike Overnight Adventure CampGRADES 5 – 8 (2016-17 SCHOOL YEAR)Westwood Hills Nature Center, 8300 W. Franklin Ave.Bring your adventurous spirit along with your bike to the nature center. Learn basic bike safety, maintenance, proper riding technique and route planning. The highlight will be a 20-mile bike ride to Gale Woods Farm and back the next day. Campers will experience farm life by feeding livestock and collecting eggs. Cook over a campfire and spend the night in a tent.
